Any of you who rerouted the exhaust have any issues with codes or passing smog?

What a horrible design for the exhaust on an "off road" truck. I already nicked the low point near the transfer case. I want to get a transfer case skid that doesn't hang low but that stupid exhaust pipe is in the way. I know some of you have rerouted it to go behind the transfer case instead of below it. Did it throw any codes or make it harder to pass smog (i'm in California). Thanks.

No codes, and I haven't had to smog it yet.

Reroute shouldn’t cause any issues as long as you don’t remove any sensors. And I think a common reroute is in the same spot just closer to the transfer case to make room for the skid, dont have to go around it

There were a couple cases of people getting codes after a reroute. Let me dig for them.

You have a reroute, right? Any issues?

i do.if done by a shop who gets what you're doing and has the skills, typically $100-200, no codes, all good and no downsides whatsoever. and your clearance will thank you.

Looks great. I've seen it done where they route it around and behind the t-case. Not just closer to it and still underneath the t-case. Any reason to do one VS the other?

the main thing is long heat exposure, so most are trying to go away from the actuator, plastics, or maybe too close to the metal casing. for me it was all that, but the starting point was the Y pipe i was installing at the time.
