I really appreciate the words. I like to think that I have all the tools required to take on the project. Just have to take in consideration the time I need to get it done with two little devils running around. Ones three the other is six yrs old. With a little more research, I’m sure I’ll make a decision soon. Anyone have a place other than the URD website for the best price?

@rjsimz - Take a look at the instructions that Norton linked.

PB blaster or your favorite liquid wrench all the nuts and bolts you can.
    Oil Change
    Coolant
Get the new injector gaskets if the kit doesn't come with them.
If you are going to do other things, like headers/ exhaust. Get the ARP Studs (or not)
If doing the Exhaust 3º gear, get a 24mm open ended combinational wrench
Fuel pump upgrade is worthwhile if not included too. need a rubber strap or similar to open the fuel tank ring. Large flathead and a rubber mallet/ dead blow hammer works too.
    Tacoma CSF Radiator maybe.

Some tools I'd also recommend having if you don't own them .

Set of 3 long host pliers. (pulling hoses off)
Long-Reach Double-X Long-Nose Pliers With the curved nose. (removing hose clamps and putting them on. Plus some hard to reach harness connectors.)
Stud extractor. Like the kind you have on a drill. (instead of drilling, you can back them out if you pop a bolt/ stud.)

    Consumables-
    Shop towels
    paper towels
    absorbent mats to catch fluids
Nitrile or latex THICK gloves. Double up or triple up incase you tear one.

I don't think getting it done by yourself would be an issue.

    17/14/12/10/22/24 sockets

    "
    Tools Required
    Metric wrench set

Metric 3/8” and 1/2” drive metric socket set (standard & deep) 3/8” and 1/2” drive ft-lbs and in-lbs torque wrenches
Metric Allen socket set 3/8 drive
    Metric Allen wrenches

Phillips and flat head screwdrivers Serpentine belt tool
    Funnel
    Drain pan

    Hose cutters
    Hose clamp pliers
    Safety glasses
    Nut driver
    Compressed air
Impact gun and 24mm impact socket
    Air gun
    Torx socket set 3/8 drive
    Clip removal tool
    Telescoping magnet
Anti-sieze assembly lube (for spark plugs)
    "

I'm not a pro. This is what I have gone through and helped a couple buddies with.

Changed the plugs in the truck today after having a constant misfire on cylinder #6. Truck has just over 60k miles, SC installed at about 5k miles. Used the supercharger removal method with the assistance of @White lightning boosted For the plug change. Checked the gapping on the plugs, the new OEM Denso plugs look to be about .030”, most the used plugs were .040-.045” but cylinder #1 was .070”, the electrode was practically gone. These plugs are definitely not good for the 100k suggested by Toyota in a over boosted application.

Interestingly cylinder 4 and 6 plugs were pretty coated in soot, on the outside of the plug. But otherwise the #6 plug didn’t seem any worse than the others. Swapped #6 coil with #1 in case that was the culprit, it will be easier to access later. Plugs #4 and #6 were also loose compared to the others, installed by Toyota with the S.C.

Napa has Denso 5345s on sale for 6.95/ea which is what I used for replacement.

And while we were taking everything apart, swapped from a 2.7” pulley to a 2.6”.

Boosted applications increase cylinder pressures considerably, the internal temperatures get too hot due to all that additional air charge being stuffed into the engine from the blower, and there is far too much additional fueling being added to attempt to keep the combustion chambers cool for spark plugs to last 60k, let alone 100k. Even if tuned, there is no possible way the spark plugs will ever make it to those mileages without causing you issues and yourself on top of a few others who have waited that long have always wound up having some sort of issues or having the plugs come out in the way that you indicated in your post.

Once someone has switched over to the boosted side, spark plugs should be viewed as a perishable, regular maintenance item and not so much a "eh, I'll get to it when I get to it" sort of item.

@12TRDTacoma did you ever get your SAI pump sorted? I have a bracket from my AFE if that helps.

Thank for following up on that brother. I did take care of it, but right now I am in a situation where I am going to have to lengthen the air pump wiring in order for it to reach the main harness connector. I'm currently trying to figure out what AWG size the wiring is, as it looks pretty thick and definitely thicker than 16 gauge but smaller than 10 gauge wiring.

Let me know if you want a URD heavy flywheel. I have a brand new one in my garage. I got it for a friend in Colorado but never installed obviously. My truck is an auto so just trying to see if anyone is interested.

I doubt URD makes a lot of what they sell under their name. They most likely design or codesign most things then farm them out for production.

Precisely. I knew that the moment I started finding a lot of the crap that they sold scoured over other areas of the internet.

That's the magic of the age of information. Everything is out in the open if you know where to look and if you look hard enough.

I got the 'URD' lightweight. Hope it works out and doesnt cause too many issues at idle or 1st gear.

Worst case I'll keep my stock one and resurface it. I can throw it back in if the lightweight sucks.

Finally completed my mini project for the project. Everything is routed as OE would be and everything appears mostly stock.
