Well, got it home from where I had to park it since no lights. If anyone is wondering what's the fastest way to remove the front end, it's definitely by hitting a deer. Half a second, all gone. Time to get out the drill and drill bits, and a bunch of zip ties.1719FB99-90A6-4918-BA34-2F3DD1E3B01D.jpg

Haha "fastest way to remove the front end".

I'm glad you have a sense of humor this morning. We expect a live stream of the repairs

No point in getting upset over a $600 truck smacking a deer in central Maine. Didn't kill anything major on the truck so it's all good. My amazing gf came and picked me up, and when we got back to her house, I promptly stepped in a pile of her dogs poo with my bare foot in the middle of her living room. It was a grand ol night for me!

I'm really sorry to hear this. I had two deer strikes personally and countless close calls. It's a driver in my internal 'To Mod or not to mod' debate. I hope you're able to get it road worthy soon.

With all the guys on TW swapping grills and slapping on aftermarket bumpers, put out the call with what you need before you spend money! You may be surprised with what's available.

    Good luck man!

PS in another place you mentioned being from northernmost Maine. My fathers peeps are from Fort Kent/Frenchville since before the civil war (French speakers) Been through there a time or two. Not at all since '03 think it was. Cool part of the country.

"We're getting that dog diapers!" It's a 13 year old schnauzer that spite poops. Not a problem with his bowels, just spiteful. That's a vets diagnosis.

First hour update. @Sig45 @Plain Jane Taco Supplies have been gathered at our chapel of worship, harbor freight. And no project can be done without breakfast, so food and coffee was priority #1. (Thanks to my wonderful woman for letting me use her car to gather supplies)4E3F570E-017A-4F9B-BDD7-DBC60A7F7FB2.jpg

I put the ass-end of a 2019 OR suspension in my 2015 SR5 on Saturday - thought it would be a 1 hour job until the little wrench flats bit at the top of the old shock shears right the fuck off first thing I do despite liberal liquid wrench application 24 hours ago. First borrowed a heat gun and vice grips from one neighbor and tried filing new flats on the exposed threads - no luck, just mashed the butter/metal around for the better part of an hour. Borrowed an angle grinder from another neighbor and yeeted the seized nut at the top of the shock right the F off. Other side went as easy as expected after a little pre-emptive heat. Frustrating because I still have the front to do and Sunday and today are 20F and snowing. My truck barely fits in the garage so to work on the front I need the door open and the truck sticking out. Not committing to the front until I have warmer weather.

I hate not having all the tools I should but I also hate spending money but I also like my neighbors a lot and owe two of them beer.
