Oof....that does suck. Sometimes when that happens you can use vise grips to grab the actual shaft somewhere below the dust boot and and then remove the nut. It damages the shaft. But you're replacing them anyway

Yeah I couldn't get the boot down without cutting it off and at that point i was hearing the siren call of the angle grinder.

Angle grinders are invaluable. Even a cheap $40 harbor freight one.

I'd love to think 1:45 is your estimate of me being done with this zip tie athon, but you're being far too generous if that's the case. One headlight in and about to get the other in.

Yeah I should really pick one up, and a torch. Then I won't be at the whim of seized bolts like I have been my entire adult life.

Haha. No. You're on your own time frame. Need more pictorial updates though. Remember....we're quarantined. You're our entertainment for the moment

Well, both headlights are in and working. Quite a few zip ties, but progress. The passenger side headlight bucket is now worse than the drivers side. Some of the reflector came out when I shook it. 88EECA39-77A4-4E74-A8BA-677F2AB0A8AB.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg

Our buddy Mark is apparently a rather smart ol' chap with an IQ of 145. So from time to time we jokingly throw a number out there indicating the relative intellect of a particular post/task/idea/etc. I usually score significantly lower than 145. So I take the high numbers where I can get 'em. o_O

He forgot to mention my limited mechanical/wrenching skills as it relates to my Tacoma.

Battery in the drill died, taking a lunch break while it charges so I can stitch the bumper back together. Hopefully I'll have enough time to zip tie that back on before I leave for work in... 4 hours.

On lunch you should watch the Red Green Show. It'll teach you all you need to know about vehicle repairs/inventions/customization
