just got mine a month ago!

2% rate for four years, put a nice down payment to ensure I would never be upside down on the truck. At 2% i rather leave my money in investments that make a lot more than 2% then write a check for a truck that holds its resale fairly well.

owned a caddy CTS-V before the truck and when it was all said and done it cost me $82 bucks a month to own a 400hp caddy. Its all how you look at it I guess.

I'm the opposite, haven't made my first payment! :p I drive cars for a long time though. I've never been a "buy new" person, but with Tacos, you really can't find low-mileage used ones around here, and if you do it's only a few K under sticker. I bought my brand new truck for about 7K under sticker, so I don't mind paying it off in 60.

Drove my last car for 6 years and it was a used Mustang. Hopefully my new Taco lasts a few years longer!

The day I paid it off, the retract spring for the inner door release popped out, went flying across the cab, door release was sticking out,, couldn't F'n believe it.

My best friends dad paid cash for his Mercedes, cracked open his money case and starter rifleing thru the banded 100's and the salesman says "Whoa,,they don't let me touch those amounts, let me get the manager",,lol.

$75g's laying on the counter, walked out with the keys and title transfer paperwork.

I will never buy a brand new truck again, it's just a huge ripoff. A couple years used will suite me just fine.

Put $13,000 down and financed $17,000 so my note is only $323.00 a month!!! Hopefully it will be paid off in 2 yrs instead of 5 yrs.

I just signed the papers tonight. My payment is only $196. I only financed $12k. I will have it paid off in 2 years. There is no way I will only pay $196 a month. More like at least $196 every 2 weeks. I hate car payments. Who knows, the loan might not even last 2 years.

    First post here.
We were several months away from having the wife's '06 DC 4x4 TRD paid off when it got totaled a few weeks ago. :(
We're in the market for another taco, not sure if we'll gt the Prerunner or the 4x4 this time. The wife really likes the Magnetic Gray.
I'm a Jeep guy (flame suit on!) but I really liked her '06... A LOT, and every time we get to looking for a replacement, I have thoughts of ditching the Jeep for a taco.
Lots of great info here, I'm going to continue perusing the forum!

Traded in my 2008 Tundra Limited (which was paid off) and had them find me a 2010 black tacoma TRD off road with JBL sound and then added heated leather, bed extender, and running boards. Wrote them a check for around $3400 and it was paid off before I ever sat in it :)

applies to all toyota trucks ... i wanted a taco when i looked in 08, ended up with a 99 mazda, then got sick of the 4cyl and low hauling capacity ... decided the t100's were cool, took 4 months to find one with lower miles (120k) ... so far im happy with it
