    Anyone have a 1995 tacoma 4x4 a.d.d. and know the stock size for their cv axles?

    @Area51Runner
    @eon_blue

    These guys have extra ADD axles laying around, hopefully they can chime in

    If you don't mind my asking, why do need the size?

    If you're replacing your own and a parts clerk is being difficult, just give your year as 1996 or higher (2004 is the last year).

    Some people confuse the Toyota Pick Up with the first year Tacoma.

    Because I'm trying to rule out some stuff on my truck and I want to make sure that the aftermarket cv axles I have arent too small. That they are at least stock size or bigger. Every site I got on to look that their length they are all different. No part store sells the same length axles.

    What aftermarket axles are you looking at, or where did you get them from?

    LC Engineering sells FEQ axles; some don't like them whereas others have had great results.

    For axles though I'd opt for OEM; they're not bad if you provide your own for said core charge. You can get them as remans from a Toyota parts department.

    Yeah my memory isnt the greatest, I'm assuming Amazon and they measure 24 3/4". I'd love nothing more than to buy oem but my cv axle is about. 500 each. And I'm not paying that for a cv axle.

    Yeah, as someone said before, don't buy car parts from the same place that sells books lol Sellers are too stupid to specify exactly what you're looking for.

    Return them if possible.

    As for pricing, $500 is way steep unless you mean both axles without core charges, plus shipping and handling and taxes.

    I thought I read somewhere around $130 after core? Someone will chime in and correct me.

    If aftermarkets don't rub you the wrong way, you always have parts stores like Kragen and Napa to name a few...some with even lifetime warranties.

    She needs the ADD axle length to confirm if hers will work or not. She bought it on Amazon and is questioning whether it'll fit for her truck even though she specified her trucks options being 4x4 and ADD

    @Yotaa look up your purchase history, and link the item being sold here.

    On toyotapartsdeal they offer two cv axles. One around 130$ and another 413$. The 130$ doesnt fit my truck. 413$ is for one axle and before shipping. If I go to dealership I'm looking over 500 just one axle. Doesnt include core. I have no problem running aftermarket, I just want to make sure I have the proper length because every part store sells completely different lengths.
    Definitely not installed error as I am a certified technician .

    There are only 2 different axle types offered; manual hub (sometimes referred to as free rotating from places like Napa), and ADD.

    Those are the only 2 available.

    Basically I've been having problem with my driver cv axle (as if it's not long enough)(I can provide picture to clear up what I mean). So I'm trying to eliminate things. Weather it's the alignment people, my frame, the lift kit or the cv axle size. I just want to know stock length cv axles so I can check the ones on mine now for correct length.

    Your pulling the inner and outer cups and measuring end to end shaft length?

    No that isnt the issue I am having. I've had cv from Amazon. I've ran them for a year. I know they fit my truck. I'm just eliminating size. Making sure they are the correct length as I'm having issues with the cv axle . Not sure if its cause by something else . So starting from the cheapest point. The length of the axle. Because no place offers the same overall length of axle.

    ADD Tacoma CVs should all be the same length from 1996-2004

    Are you sure that they are listing the actual CV length and not the length of the overall packaging? I'm sure they come boxed different depending on the brand but the fitment is the same
