I did the same thing only mine was a 2008 model. I like everything except the engine and transmission. I do like the better fuel economy and the extra 42 HP but the normal day to day driving just isn't the same, even with ECT on. ECT on gets it closer to what it used to feel like driving the 2nd generation models but it still isn't the same throttle response wise. It's hard to explain the difference and if you never drove a 2nd Generation you have no clue what seems to be missing. It is like the difference between an older car that used a rod or cable connected from gas pedal to throttle valve compared to one that uses a resistor that connects to an ECU which tells the solenoid how much to move the throttle valve. It's a subtle difference but noticeable to me. Yet I am now a proud owner of the 2020 Off Road Tacoma Dbl Cab short bed and will take care of it like I did my 2008 model.

Installed carpet to the inside of toolbox on my new shell. Making it into my kitchen. Still gotta work on the best setup. I'm in and around my truck about 8-10 hours a day for my job. I get to off-road nearly every day! I haven't ate at a restaurant since this covid19 pandemic and really started enjoying it. So I am setting up my truck to be able to eat good food. Just find a shade tree and cook it up!

put on a couple simple items.

 

I run (5) 285/70r17 Goodyear UltraTerrain and do a 5 tire rotation...remedied my exhaust pipe proximity via the exhaust chop. No wear or melting pre or post chop, but now the spare is easier to get up and out.

 

Since I have a double cab, I can't say I've ever looked. I'll do some nosing around.

Yes, both front and rear ARB diff breathers are vented there right by the battery. I had asked the shop if the transmission and/or transfer case had any breathers that could be extended and they said no. I just had Cruisers Brothers of Stockton, CA to confirm that the breathers were installed correctly. They were surprised by the amount of diff oil, one thought they had was because of the 5.29 gearing
