Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.

Thanks. I'm not looking to navigate uncharted territory, match the PowerMax output or grenade my engine.

I'm leaning towards the base kit only (no DI upgrade in the beginning) but was curious if there's an upgrade path.

Your reply makes it sound like there is indeed an option to upgrade the base kit safely by adding the DI (if certain precautions are taken.)

Your clever work is greatly appreciated!

base plus Di preset at 8ish PSI would be a nice happy medium as a preset kit.

Jump in on the base. You always have the option to add the DI at a later date.

I believe that list to be antiquated. My hope is that whomever gets those first few actually have plans to install them in a timely manner and give feedback to help shake some install bugs out. Buying them just because you want to be first and not moving on the install would be a bad thing for everyone.

Looking forward to more updates, looking good here. I’m on track for a low boost Powermax.

Picking up a new tig soon to help with the winch related intercooler brackets that will be needed, maybe some custom welded piping.

Installation for me will happen on the first weekend after I get the kit in hand. I need to get some miles in and tested before wheeling season.

Any ideas on how EGT could/would be monitored with the TT kit? Perhaps monitoring EGTs would be helpful for sustained boost (like towing in the mountains?)

I’m not sure how beneficial it is to monitor EGT’s, However on my 2nd gen I monitor AIT’s, water temp, tranny temp, and whether it’s in closed or open loop, or even fuel ratio using a scan gauge 2. Connects to your obd2 port.

I’m glad to see we’re getting closer to production kits, but I am disappointed that the base kit won’t have the flexibility to push ~10PSI without the $1900 DI kit.

The 9.5psi PowerMax is exactly the power I was hoping for but at double the price of the base kit (when factoring in the required DI kit), it’s beyond what I want to spend.

For me, the extra $3500 isn’t worth the +50HP/TQ. Maybe I’m wrong and I’ll be perfectly happy with the base kit’s power output, it is +25% HP and almost +50% TQ and comes on early which addresses the truck’s big issue.

nah, didn’t mean it like that, just honestly curious if others have ideas to making our winches work. I’m open to hearing them.
