Comrade Alexely999. We have pulled you over for failure to have front plate mounted. (In the thickest possible Russian accent)

I paid for materials/paint so I was a little over a grand at the friend price. I disassembled the truck, pulled dents, wasted bondo, and pretended to know what I was doing sanding. I wouldn't have afforded it at the time otherwise. I'm thinking of switching to a black grill and doing black vinyl up the hood for a two tone

Got a 14" Magnaflow installed. Sounds amazing! Just a bit louder and throaty.

Cleaned up the rubber tie rod boots today with some superclean foam then Meguiars Ultimate Black after they had dried.

I made a cover that goes in-between the side steps and the rocker panels. I didn't do it to hide the gap, I did it so I can install some side marker lights later on.

I made my own custom grille out of aluminum mesh. I also borrowed an idea from a friend of mine and made my own grille emblem.

I finished my custom air compressor cart so I can use air tools on my Tacoma.
    20200411_164217.jpg
I also built a oxy/acetylene dolly out of a moving dolly for a friend of mine, the same friend that sold me my Tacoma for a smoking deal.

1 of my trucks caliper to knuckle bolts fell out while I was driving. It made my truck unexpectedly do donuts while driving down the street, good times for sure. It destroyed the wheel too. Luckily it was at 4 AM and almost no one was on the road. Also luckily it had been raining and the road was very slick, I'm positive it would have rolled over if the roads had been dry. Here is the wheel on my wall of shame.

ALWAYS USE LOCTITE ON CALIPER TO KNUCKLE BOLTS! TOYOTA DOES.
I've been doing a lot of work at a friend's offroad shop, installing offroad lights and such. Here's some brackets I made for one of those jobs. This truck's aftermarket lights consume 235 amps total!

I got them during @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc Black Friday sale but didn't install them until a few months ago.

My plates from Joe arrived today so I made some progress on the truck. I’d done a little sheet metal work the other day to use the tiny bit of remaining gas I had left. Casper gave me a great tip of using a strip of 18 gauge behind the joint to act like a filler.

Like the impatient idiot I am, I started without it because I didn’t have any metal on hand. I regret that. Word of the wise, listen to the more experienced.

I got that started and got the composite bed gap to the best I can. Unsurprisingly it is difficult to have a nice seam all the way through. Getting the sheet metal lined up was my priority and I’d deal with the composite gap later with other means. For now, that’s just rocking the bed mat. If that’s not enough protection I will throw some caulking or silicone under there to seal it up.

I alternated the washers because it helped make it more rigid, plus some of the bracing on the underside made them not line up. Killed two birds with one stone.

Heres a pic of the deck/radio, price is Canadian, and there are cheaper websites, i got it for around 250$usd. you can get tons of accessories such as, back up cam, gps, tire monitor, live data code reader and much more. I don't have pictures of my dual battery setup, but i can get some tomorrow. Its a very inexpensive set up that works great.
