Spare tire carrier part help needed

    There is a piece that goes in here that the wrench fits in.
    I lost the piece does anyone know what it called or have a part #
    I cant raise or lower my spare.

    Wait what? Get rid of whatever that silver thing is and just slide the hook end in that mechanism. Then you put together a few extensions and lastly use the tire iron itself to crank up/down.

    Some spare hangers had keyed locks installed at the dealer.

    @tacofish is your spare currently in place or off the truck?

    That silver thing must be an anti theft fitting almost like the ones for lug nuts
    The insert piece was loose and must have fell out.

    Spare is off
    i drove with it off because having tire put on and had spare in bed.
    Center piece fell out

    It's held on by 4 bolts, you should be able to pull it off and remove any remains of the lock. You could also do it on the truck but it's not a fun place to work.

    If that doesn't work I have the cable style from my 11 in a box somewhere you can have if you pay shipping.
