You will need a custom setup cause if you go with that basic install LT rear. Your shock mounts will be in a different location then many others im sure. lower mounting point and shock length will decide where your upper mount has to be.

ya i know but when you start to change shock mounting points and shock mfg, and lengths things start to change. You can get a 16" shock but a king and a Sway away could be 2" difference in length. Changing your shock mount heights and angle

Hahaha ya I know right. Well the supercharger is paid for now I just need to do it. Only problem is no one I have talked to can get it to work right on a 96. So I got a 98 ECM that gadget recommended and now I'm making the swap!! But ya. I know there's also like 1.5 million other things to get. Including the 5k for the front lol. Believe me. It's probably gonna be another year or so

I can tell you right now those shocks are at the wrong angle, there too vertical. The shock will bottom out before the leafs do. Been there done that.

mounts on the axle look clean and done right. but ya they need to be kicked forward a lot. when its time send me a PM ill show you a picture to make sure you get the shock angle correct for your shocks.

I was just using those as an example. We all have our own views on things. iv rebuilt only sway aways and fox. I personally felt the fox were built cheap. But I know king makes a quality product but you have to pay.

I never said they were crap. I just felt things were not made as well. I have never pulled a king shock apart. I know the fox shocks I rebuilt had the plastic wear bands unlike the link shows. I get kings at cost but I don't run them cause I don't have the money for them.

    Hey guys!

Great thread...really good for reading at work :D (I don't think my boss would think so though)

So what is the feedback on the Giant kit? I have a TC LT kit in the front, and my deavers/kings just are not cutting it out back. I would like to keep the bed in tact (or mostly intact). The Giant kit seemed relatively unobtrusive with their bolt-in bed cage.

While I can't speak for the bolt-in cage specifically, what I have seen of Giant's products are top quality. I run their spring-under on my truck and it's extremely cushy. The brackets are strong and the travel is smooth and predictable.

On top of everything else, Geoff (the owner) is a great guy. Give him a call. He's always taken the time to discuss products, provide installation tips, and generally BS about trucks and racing every time I've called.

I have a question about the application of the LT.

From what I have read the LT is meant for jumping and racing for extended periods of time correct? But can it also do what a normal lift does (climbing and such)?

Ok so I have been searching because I know I read it on here before. But when you LT guys are getting alignment done do you have them use the stock camber/caster angles?
