    just because you have the room doesnt mean you need to fill it....anyone that has been doing anything for a while can tell you that. water is one of the most heavy and bulky items you can store. it is also one of the most plentiful, that being said planning on taking a weeks worth of water when your going to come across plenty on your trip is foolish.

    as far as taste, if your filtering water coming from a sewage plant its probably going to taste like shit, although it will be drinkable.

    The one item most people dont cover is how long water filters take to get more than a nalgene's worth. It'd take damn near all day to fill a water jerry.

    Frr what it's worth, 3 jerry cans fit lengthwise between the wheel wells or 6 across width-wise.

    ive only seen this being used on expedition overland. they didnt test it before taking it and one of the filtration things broke. i think it was the uv portion. idk.
