I haven't had the spare time to pull my grill and peek around in there. If the weather cooperates tomorrow, I can look

What I get out of it is the stock di are good to 6 pounds and anything above needs the DI replaced. I would love to see a stage 2 base kit with 8ish pounds or whatever works as a second option on the base kit. Right now I am unclear of what is available for the base with DI option as far as what boost you would get or tune?

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read it was 10psi for base + DI

when you consider pricing, and value, to power, consider the price of other FI options on the market.
    What do we know?
    $6500, or higher.
    Includes tune? Unknown
    Includes fuel mods? Unknown

Likely magnuson will use what harrop plans to use. HPTuners. So you could factor in another 300 for the cable + cost of how many credits it will be (either $200-300 worth) then the cost of the tune itself.

All in all, SC, tune, taxes, shipping, likely $8k +

And I can pretty much guarantee none of them are upgrading the DI system because of who is going to spend 6500+ 1900 + whatever else tuning cost to gain ....100ish Hp?

Has it been made clear what the HP specs Mat is posting are referenced to? Are they whp, or crank? The percent gains don’t make sense referenced to 278HP... unless those are max gains and not gains at peak. 325 at the wheel would be like 355’ish at the crank.

Bilstein 6112/5160s. OME leaf springs. 285/75/16. RC tonneau cover. Supernova v3 led lows, highs, and fog lights. Kicker speaker upgrade.
These numbers are at the hub.

Ah, that would be spectacular then. If parasitic loss is 10%, then 325 —> 361 at the crank. And 361/278 looks like great math to me.

Mat had said a long time ago in one of the Facebook groups that these transmissions have terrible loss. I think he said 15-20% was a solid assumption.

plus you cut the work in "half". Instead of installing both at the same time. It's one, then the other later if u decide. And "easier" on the wallet.

Yep. The independent dyno test posted 246hp & 232 ft/lbs tq. at the wheels on a DynoJet (first post, mega thread). Stock calibration.

Mat that is why I am waiting for you to tune a Harrop setup even if it takes as long as -soon- takes :)

His % are jacked up because of how it’s worded. “125% increase” would be more than double the power, but he really means “25% increase” or “125% of the stock power”. Plus stock numbers aren’t in the post and these trucks behave whacky on the dyno.

Not arguing with these points, your absolutely correct, OVT is offering a much better power & feature set for the $$$. My point was simply that I was excited to get close to 400hp/tq for <$5k. However, as development progressed and you learned more about what these trucks need to run reliably in that power range and above, the price climbed to now $7k, more than 40% higher.

I'm pretty sure what he is trying to get across is that peak torque at 2300 rpm is 125% better than stock dyno numbers at 2300 rpm. These trucks make almost no torque below 3000 rpm.

The numbers are measured at the hub/wheel. Front page percent are percent of stock power.
assuming 278HP is actually what this engine makes at the crank, transmission losses are around 14 - 16 percent.
If it's closer to Camry numbers, 300, which I think so, its 20 percent.

So meet in the middle, 17 percent,
Take base kit numbers of 325 wheel, is equivalent to 380 BHP.

The price of the base kit actually hasn't changed much, only does when including optional fuel mods.

Do you plan on taking preorders starting with the original list @OVTune ? Or how do you plan on allowing for the first set of orders? Thanks!

Or he could hide one with clues and it’ll be an Easter egg hunt

or since we are all supposed to stay home he can hide the order link and whoever finds it first gets one.

I can't wait to get some real world feedback on these awesome looking kits!

Who is planning on doing their own install or not?
