Lookin' good! I've brought back some pretty sad decking over the years. A pressure washer is a must have!

I made an online order from homedepot 2 weeks ago thinking it would reduce my time spent in the store. I spend a lot of time around someone who is very vulnerable. As luck would have it, I ended up waiting at the counter for 15 min before being directed to the back of the store to pick up my stuff. Ironically, I walked through the isles of the exact items I ordered. It would be nice if they offered curbside pickup.

they have a shear cutter you can rent, better than using a blade, since it kicks up too much dust

I actually bought the shear cutter drill attachment. This one. It was a really well priced Amazon open box/used item. If end up not needing it I will return or resell it. I also bought a diablo fiber cement blade for my dewalt 20v circular saw. No more than I need to do I think those two things will be enough.

I'm in the process of finishing my basement. The walls are 8" cinder block but need to be R-13. Instead of doing 2x4 and filling it with R13 or R15 batts, are there any other solutions out there that would allow me have a thinner wall? I wouldn't mind spending a little extra if I could save a little space however marginal it would be.

You'll still need to use furring strips but you can get down from 3.5" to 2" with this:

How much cooking do you really do? If you are regularly hosting large events and think it would somehow help you, then i say go for it. On the other hand, it will eventually start leaking and it'll be just another thing to fix in the already long list with owning a home.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I always wanted one but I think it was just for the novelty of it. If your sink is far from the stove then it might be a good idea.

I've never understood these. You still have to carry the full pot to the sink to drain the pasta anyways. So it saves one trip across the kitchen with a pot full of water?

I did the same thing about a month ago. I found that a whiter temperature light helped bring out more of the Gray. But not as much as I wanted it to.

But you can rinse your stove down.

*might need a drain pan under the stove.

Half wall so someone doesn’t fall into the stairwell and die. Ran out of 2x6s, two more blocks to add. Whoops. 2C7A5A15-7012-4C59-8401-D2843419FC56.jpg

if you can , run a stud at end of 1/2 wall through floor sheathing to underside of joists below and solid block it

will completely firm up the wall
