295/75r16 & 295/70r17 PHOTO THREAD.

Front is set at 2.75 ish (Fox ext travel coilover)

 

Will running 295/70/17 require a CMC? Currently have Bilstein 6112 up front on top notch with SPC UCAs, 5160 in rear and Method MR702 zero offset wheels

 

CMC and pinch weld for sure

 

I would disagree, I am running the same setup. But, I only do light/beginner overlanding/wheeling, I never get any rubbing.

 

Thanks I figured just as much. I was seeing if anyone was able to run these without major work.

 

That's what I'm looking to do. Not going to be rock crawling or anything. Mostly beginner trails and forest/fire roads.

 

Reading thru this thread, some guys do and some don't. I guess it is all in your specific truck and how you drive it. Eventually my plan is to get it done. I have seen shops doing it for $200-$300 here in NC. On my list, as everything else.

That is funny, all three of us, running the same setup with Methods zero offset.........Over the weekend, I went out on state land behind my house and ran the power lines..........

Definitely had to do a CMC and heat gun the liners

I got my CMC done before I put on 295s but I figured better just get it out of the way. You’re in good shape with the 0 offsets though. I have had minimal rubbing with my 0 offset f5s, mainly on the liners. Looks like you’re in Mass. I found a guy outside providence that did a great job with my CMC if you need. Let me know.

Edit: Also a good +3 degree caster alignment goes a long way with the SPCs

Honestly man I’d look at doing a cab mount relocate if you’re going to spend the money. Way cleaner and you don’t need to worry about rubbing the cab mount even with aggressive wheel specs and flex. Plus you’ll be ready to go to 35s if/when the time comes. I wish I would have skipped CMC and went straight to the relocate.

 

Thanks, have also seen those. Any integrity issues when doing a relocate vs. a CMC? Which relocate did you go with? I've seen ones from Runnin 4 Tacos and Alpine Designs

 

I haven’t installed it but there are quite a few people in my state (Oregon) running the alpine designs mount and loving it. Welds look great and it’s beefy, as long at it gets some good welds to the frame I highly doubt you’ll have any issues. I should be installing mine in the next few weeks I would think. I’m rubbing quite a bit with 285/75/16s
