    For real, only issue you’d have being 3rd pedal you’d have to change a spline on the fj case from your oem one I believe don’t look hard Alex did it.

    You have a point on the temp but I’ve got to they will be soaked in gear oil and had about 40% last time we did this not 6 months ago.

    Is there wear on the axle shaft? Should have lasted a lot longer than that. Can you sleeve it if it’s worn? Gotta last longer than that. Good brakes aren’t cheap.

    Nope, axle seal.
    That's a valid concern, but most likely it's pressure from a clogged breather or dirt made it into the seal during a water crossing and had worn out that seal.
