yea it's pretty cool, our whole town here is wired up for fiber. Well, most of it I think. There's a local company called Giggle Fiber that you just have to sign up with and you're good to go

Oh and hulu now too, signed up for the free trial but there's a lot of good shit on there so I'll probably keep it going

 

Eh, Netflix doesn't require much.

Neither does gaming but when you have to download a 80gb patch or update, that's when 2hours can really turn to 20mins

You'll enjoy Hulu, I had it for awhile but been liking netflix more lately.

 

you say that but we have like 30 mbit down and have buffering wars if the GF daughter is in her room watching something while we're out in the living room trying to watch something

 

I think netflix is throttling their service right now anyways. I bet it's a pain to watch the 4k movies on Disney + right now. I haven't tried cause it's all Marvel and I've seen all those once already.

 

I haven't had much issue with Netflix but Hulu has been acting weird the last few days, at one point it even stopped playing and showed an error saying to "please try back later". After a few min it worked again, I think it's just overwhelmed with how many people are streaming right now

 

The only issue with Netflix that I've seen is the video quality is poor but that could have been the quality of the video itself, it might not have been HD. I also find the PC version isn't as good as my PS4 version is.

 

Even Pandora seems to be having drop outs

My internet isn't all that fast either though....will get you a speed test when I'm off work.

Regardless, that sucks if you're having buffering issues to deal with.

Should change her settings to 1080p, or even 720p

 

I was joking with the GF that I would log into the router and set QoS for her devices
