no not a co inky dinky... a new mech relay closed should read aprox 0.2 Ohmn across the relay......so ur reading was indicitive of an issue, good trouble shooting....

in the 70's elevators were all mech relay controlled and every tech carried on of these..https://www.grainger.com/product/23...wcid=AL!2966!3!281698275348!!!g!470161363430!

and checked the most used relays on every service call, and did a fast clean of the pads....(and many other controllers as well)

Right on. I didn't know what the standard resistance was for a closed relay. Never bothered to check. Thanks for validating my suspicion

I might pick up a pocket burnisher. It exists for a reason. Thanks Bill

I'm a big fan of the [IMG] Storage System.
    SKU: MT5

This DECKED system fits a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck manufactured from 2005 to 2018 with a 5'1" bed length.

Do the side panels snap on and off?

The amps were not measured, that figure is the total of the light manufacturers recommendations.

It's a gas Dodge and a custom alternator is being built by a shop that is using one for a Dodge diesel. They're changing the pullies and increasing its output. I think it's going to be around a 250 amp output alternator.

If you're on the side of the road for your bumper, they are not really worried about your bumper. It was just an excuse for a stop and talk. Its not like you have a google search bar that you can look up state codes to write tickets. You memorize the common ones through habit and then keep a cheat sheet for the stuff you don't use very often, but you know happens in your beat. Like if you have a railroad crossing. You can look it up online, but you have to dig for the code and be certain you are using it in the correct context. Not really something you want to do while on the side of the road. IMO.

Did my annual oil change today. Actually 13 months but only 2500 miles. From what I've read the recommendation is to change it at least once a year, regardless of miles. I feel like I could have let it go for a while longer, but it's so freaking easy to change the oil on these trucks. 30 minutes from popping the hood to final dip stick check, and I wasn't in any big rush. 5 qts. of Castrol GTX synthetic was only $18 on Amazon so the whole investment was less than $25 and I know it's done right.

Now the flip side to this story is I also did my wife's RAV4. What a huge pain in the ass that car is! I'd like to meet the moron who reinvented the wheel to use their cartridge system. Rather than spin the old one off and spin the new one on, there's like 10 steps you have to go through. If I had even the slightest amount of confidence in the oil change places, I'd gladly pay to have it done. But because of the sealed cartridge, there's no way to be sure they actually changed the filter and there are multiple opportunities for them to screw up even if they do change it.
