What lift did you need for your Pro to run those tires?

Yeah that extra 0.8” makes all the difference. ;)

Just checking after going through the 22 pages, if I want to run the 6220/5160, notches on 6/5, springs with kit 600lb I think, HS AAL 3pack, no extra weight, 285/75/17 I have to expect to do cmc, pinch weld tenderizing and fender caressing. Planning on keeping stock UCA unless it becomes an issue. If I do need UCA, I’d have to get the 5100 or save more. Undecided on wheels but looking at 8” wide 4.5bs with -6 offset.

I have 6112s on 6/5 with my 285/75/17s. Rubbed like shit before CMC and fender trimming.

Nice, stock UCA as well? I see there are good options for cover plates after the CMC too. Will still have to narrow down tires but I like the S/t max. Choices, choices. All I know is the 285/75/17 look great on these trucks.

I tried squeezing one, and couldn’t fit it. I’ll probably mount it in the bed instead.

Can someone help me out on this? Why couldn't you just run a slightly smaller tire as the spare? Spares aren't meant to be used long term, but to just get you home or to a service center where you can get your tire fixed or replaced. Is there anything wrong with running 285/75r17's as your main tires, but a slightly smaller tire as a spare tucked up under the bed?

I don't use my spare/5th wheel in my tire rotation, so it's just there for emergencies.

One thought that comes to mind is if you lose a tire on the trail, wanting to have a spare of equal size would be beneficial. Personally, I use the spare in rotation of the others

Do you have aftermarket wheels or did you buy another factory wheel to put your spare on? Currently the only reason my spare isn't in the rotation is because the spare tire isn't mounted on a sweet alloy wheel like the rest of em.

4wd with different sized tires is not good on the drivetrain.

But it would get you to the nearest shop though right? I'm talking about using a spare for it's intended use, emergencies.

Depends on how big the size difference is. But if you're on the trail and flat and need 4wd to get out and it's day one of a 4 day trip, then your trip is ruined.

Think hammering the tabs and moving some stuff you could fit a 285/75r17 spare?

Also are most of you guys regearing? How is it for people who haven’t regraded yet?

I haven’t regeared yet but may in the future. I have OVTune and I run the “performance” file and for most daily driving it feels fine. Unadjusted 14-16mpg, I guess adjusted would be like 15.5-18?
