Same. I didn't know they still made that stuff! I'm also laughing about when all those ice beers were popular in the late 90s and 5.5% was high alcohol for a beer.

Maybe you’re forgetting the “don” part in the name and whose face is on the can :boink:

(I don’t really give a shit, I think it’s funny, I obviously am not reporting that)

The wife and I have been attempting the limit ourselves to one supply run a week so it sometimes limits my beer options. But found a reasonably priced case of Lagunitas mixed IPA at Costco. Cheers my friends.

So on Monday afternoon, the 5th, I decided my beer stash needed a little changeup and thought I'd try out CraftBeerKings.com since my local shop is real lacking in the IPA or otherwise more easy drinking category. Plus I was running out of anything not 750s of heavy beers. They get some more rare things in (moonraker, alchemist, 3 fonteinen, plus some others), so i thought I'd try it. Prices weren't amazing, but also not bad for delivered. Picked out more than I needed and placed the order, free shipping over $100. They're pretty close to me honestly, so I might as well just go by and grab them myself next time, because it just finally showed up today. Interestingly....it came via UPS, with no signature required....which i'm fairly positive is illegal. Looking forward to trying some of these IPAs out tonight.

Edit: oh and they swap out beers if they run out of something you requested, or cancel if you want. I opted to let them swap it, and they ran out of the Mikkeler Traeblood I like, which isnt rare or anything, but I like it. They swapped me out for the oatmeal cookie beer from Bruery I can get for cheaper, and don't really like haha. Oh well, bum luck.

If you guys haven't heard of Straight to Ale in Huntsville, Alabama check it out. We like this place called Jack Browns. The location we hang out is in Chattanooga, TN. After you drink 100 different beers you get to join thier Notch club. They have Notcher trips where they rent a bus with a bathroom and visit breweries. We have been on several trips. The best one was where we visited Strait to Ale. It was the Notcher Olympics and we had beer games against other locations. Straight to Ale is an old middleschool complex converted into a brewery. I had a damn good time. They have a brewery, a main bar, coffee shop, etc... And Jack Browns rented out a private, "speak easy" bar inside the facility. It was a row of lockers that slide open to reveal another taproom. The trips are totally worth 25 bucks. They bring a cooler on the bus with free beer too.

I had a nice present waiting on me from Burial when I got home. I hate how things are right now but I am going to take advantage of having non-distro Burial shipped to my door step for as long as I can.

I got two of the stouts and a six pack of the kolsch.

    841DA38E-9D54-40E0-AFA6-85AE1D311F04.jpg 71E3469F-0FD1-4365-AFCB-58AD07BBAEF4.jpg D027338E-A004-466B-A875-652FE5046CE9.jpg

I won’t have a day off for probably 10 days so I’m not ready to crack open a stout yet, but the kolsch is amazing. Very clean with the smallest hint of dry hopping.
