We'll miss ya, buddy. It's been fun watching you evolve. Keep it up wherever you end up. North Dakota though...I think that place would be too cold even for me, haha. I could just see myself up in a cherry picker, freezing my ass off spraying glycol on aircraft on the ramp or taxi way.

I'm seriously considering a move to Northern VA though. I was looking up gun ranges around my Aunt's house today and it really shouldn't have surprised me, considering everyone up there probably has a shooting range in their backyard or knows someone who does, but the closest one was slightly over an hour away just across the boarder into West-By-Gawd-VA...but at least it has a 50-300 yrd public line and a 500-1000 yrd line for members only. And it has camping facilities. Could make a week of it, haha.

It could be, except I'm a total Floridiot and I'd probably get myself killed driving off the side of a mountain the first winter I was up there, lol.

Thanks man, I am definitely excited to finally start working again, I REALLY wanted my #1 choice out in Arizona, but oh well lol; now that I am in the system I can transfer sometime in the future to Utah/Colorado/Arizona area where I originally wanted to go. But it has been fun, especially since day 1 when I got on here when I first got my truck. I have learned A LOT over the years, I am really happy that I know how to drive my prerunner; I still get a kick out of proving people wrong and looking at their faces haha. If I have to, I'll bounce off the limiter XD. I am gonna miss this place and everyone, I am still disappointed that this virus shit hit and the citrus meet got cancelled.........oh well

Technically, that's a reflex sight. A red-dot sight is one with a tube you look through like a scope.

I think I gotcha beat. Can you say "Over-Scoped"...

    c-n3LkvT1WkomciKg6tuCUoAvHqiZadqQMItNUnb_c25d53b28735572729a788996d8b6bef02d01b88.jpg

Yesterday, I was at the 100 yrd range with my old 3.5-10x 50mm Leupold VX3 and managed a .532" 5 shot group with 55gr Sierra BlitzKings and H335, then backed it up with a sub 3/4 MOA 5 shot group with the same load. I think I found my first pet load. I'm excited to see how much the new scope with the higher mag will tighten up my groups.

I should mention for those interested, my nearly 30 y/o Leupold VX3 has better glass than the new Votex. On the same mag setting the VX3 had better clarity and sharpness. However, the Vortex has a better reticle and features than the old VX3 so I can live with the lower quality glass.

Interesting that even though it uses a small illuminated red dot its not considered a red dot .

“A reflex sight is a red dot sight, but a red dot sight is not a reflex sight”
