You guys having trouble letting guitars go? I really do, but finally letting this one go to help fund a P-Bass. I’ve almost sold it before, but just couldn’t do it. I don’t ever play it either. Sold it to the lead singer in my band(and lifelong friend) so at least it’s going to a good home.

i just sold a 90s LTD Explorer copy. one of my favorites, but i've outgrown Explorer shapes. it'll either fund the pink LTD i just bought or whatever else pops up for sale during quarantine.

Are you practicing with a drum beat? I found one pretty close on my EZ drummer prog that ive been using.
I can record it and send it to sound cloud if you need it. It's 5 mins long.

I've been using the Fender lessons. Each lesson they have a video you play along with them, and then the second part is the tabs with a metronome to guide you on the strumming. But I'd gladly take the one you've got as well to use when I don't use the Fender program.

Also, any tips on how to hit C better? Theyve got me going between G, C, D right now and for some reason I struggle really bad with getting to C. I've got G down pretty well and still am struggling a bit with D, but C is just brutal for me

idk man. Ive yet to play a single full chord except for a 2 string power chord. But im playing 2 different guitars to add the fullness instead of a full chord.
I'm just starting to get some of the pieces put together but im just messing around with the very beggining.

i'll see if I can get what little i have up.

I'm thinking about buying an electric guitar now too :anonymous:

any suggestions for a cheaper one? I don't know how serious I am about getting one, but if I were to get one, I'd want one that I can continue learning on and then still enjoy as I get better. What are the main differences between a $200 vs a $1500 guitar? Is it just overall build quality/parts used? Name brand?

Just go G to C then G to C then...you get my point. Do the two chords and work up a strum pattern that makes it a good transition, something pleasant to bang around on. Then do G to D to G to D, find a rythym that grooves, then D to C to D blah blah. At some point you'll recognize a tune. Next thing you know you'll be banging thru all three...and fucking up when you start to think about it.

A good chord progression exercise I bang around with

Funny you say that. I was strumming along and hitting G without even looking almost EVERY time. Soon as I start looking down I fuck it up. Guess I just will keep going between G, C, and D until it's natural.
I finished the 1st grouping of lessons on the Fender thing. So just need to practice those transitions this week and then I'll probably start the 2nd group of lessons this weekend. Definitely seeing a lot of improvement already.

Heres what very little I have so far.
Basically im just downloading a bunch of different amps to my Eleven Rack
and trying to find some sounds. Used a Fender twin reverb on left ch and a Fender deluxe I think on the other.
Also my last recording was pure trash so I needed to fiddle with my 32 track since im off today anyway.

Got a bunch of work to do in it. Little guitar licks and leads but I was happy to get this much done.
Thanks for turning me on to the tune man. I really enjoy it.

Nice! I like your take on it. Can't wait till I can actually play something like that.

Can you get more of that twangy sound that Brian plays? I dunno if that's just because of his guitar or if it's some sort of distortion?

Thanks. Yea, I have like 200 different amps stored. I just wanted to pick something mellow that was close, but make it my own. The hard part is dissecting the song for all the little licks, pickup sounds, ambiance and putting them all in the right place.

Where do you sell/buy your guitars? I hate that I can't just go to a shop right now and ask all the questions to someone in person :pout:
