should i sell my truck?

i contemplating selling my beloved 02 stepside. its a great truck, nothing wrong with it, except i get a jolting ride. i may need new leafs and shocks. should i invest more money in my truck. i know that TRD stepside extra cab is rare, and i really like the look of it. but im not sure if i should keep it for long run and pour money in to it. i really like the new suzuki equator. what do you guys think?

 

Gotta do what makes you happy. If the rough ride is all that is wrong I say fix it less money than a new truck. But I get the same way with my cars I get to the point where I just want something new.

 

Don't think you should sell it, you should just give it to me and I'll take care of anything that is wrong with it.

 

I wouldn't go for a Suzuki car personally. They're customer service is horrible, finding parts is a feat and they're very expensive when you do find them (speaking from experience, not smearing their name just because, I personally like Suzuki's other items). I'm in Boston also, so it's not like I'm from a small town and there isn't a Suzuki dealership around. My girlfriend has had a ton of issues with her Suzuki and can't wait to get rid of it. Just my $0.02.

 

It is a nice looking truck but if you want to sell it to get something else, go for it. Its your money and your decision. Do what makes you happy brotha!

 

suzuki equator is the same thing as a nissan frontier, so parts shouldnt be difficult to come by.

if you want to get out of your truck, now is the time to do it. you dont have much invested in it, AND it isn't beat to shit. Once you get some dings and dents in it, trade in value sinks.

Sorry, wasn't familiar with the models, just a general comment about Suzuki cars. My girlfriend has one of their smaller cars and it's been a nightmare finding parts and getting it serviced. To my knowledge, hers doesn't share parts with any of the Nissan models.

If its paid off your a fool not to keep it. It would pay for itself. just keep thinking of the check you cut every month for 4 or 5 years vs even $500 or what ever to fix. you will get many years without a payment with that truck!!!! Money in YOUR pocket not thiers.

 

just redo the suspension and keep it

I say keep it. its a nice truck alot better then the equator

 

i will keep it. they dont make truck like this anymore. so far i spend

$860 for timining belt & water pump replacement.
$550 cooper stt mudders
im estimating about $1500 for new leafs and shocks installed. i thought it over, and im keeping it. truck is rock solid and built like a tank. i even named my truck IRON MAIDEN lol.
