Edit: This is only 2nd gen related by proxy. I have to park the T100 near the Tacoma.

I just picked up this cherry T100 and I'm f'n excited about it!

    Specs
    1994 T100 DX
    3vze 3.0L
    4x4 5 MT
    4.56 stock gears
    31x10.50x15
    8' bed, payload 1680 lbs

Just under 125k miles. Fresh clutch, timing belt, water pump, and 31x10.50's in the last few 5 thousand miles. It really runs like a top, the previous owner took very good care of it and had paperwork to show. Body is straight as an arrow with no rust. I was concerned with all the bad press the 3.0 gets but with these gears things seem just fine.

    For real!.jpg

    Nice truck!
I had a 91' Toyota Pickup with the same V6 engine (MT too). Just sold it a few months back. It didn't have the greatest acceleration, but it was such a good runaround vehicle. I know these V6's were known for blowing their head gasket, so watch for that in case it wasn't already replaced. What are your plans for the truck?
I did a lot of work and learning on the truck just to keep it running (and stock).

Thanks! I plan to keep it stock as these things are more and more rare to be found in nice condition. I'll replace some leaky gaskets and old bushings and do a full fluids swap and tune up. It'll be nice to have a reliable 2nd set of wheels to have around when I get company in from out of town who want to explore some dirt roads.

I had a '98 T-100 for seventeen years. It had the 3.4 liter engine. It was a damned good little truck.
My nephew has it now, in Des Moines. He sent me a picture of the odometer a couple of months ago with over 300,000 miles on it.
    That thing looks great!

I've read the 3.4 swap is popular and straightforward for the earlier years. I'll consider it if anything happens to this engine. For now I've been going through it with a fine tooth comb.

    So far:
Degreased/power washed engine and drivetrain, greased driveshafts, changed all gear oils/engine oil,new crush washers on everything

    new in boxes/to be done:
shifter bushings, upper/lower control arm bushings, sway bar link bushings
    brake,clutch,power steering, & coolant flushes
oil cooler seal kit, distributor oil seal, plug, rotor, cap,
valve cover, intake plenum, throttle body, egr, & cold start injector gaskets
    front & rear camshaft seals,
fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, thermostat

I've got a 3k+ mile drive to Maine to make in June so I want everything up to snuff. Debating doing the headgasket while I'm in there because I dunno if last owner underwent the gasket recall.

I say this T100 deserves its own build thread, whether it’s just a simple build or maintenance...let’s support and keep this old boy going lol. :)

If the only reason you would keep it stock is because it’s rare to find one in this condition then rethink that. The T100, especially yours, is a decent truck but it will never be a collector truck or widely desired so go crazy and make it whatever you see fit. You have a nice platform for creativity. I have never seen a custom modded T100.

I remember when they came out. Nobody understood where they fit in the market. I guess I get it now. I don't want a full size but a tad more room would be nice.

Well no it's not that it's collectable, it just serves it's purpose in stock condition. I'm transferring it to my father as he's downsizing his carpentry business as he enters retirement, and wants something reliable with a little bit of flare to it. Perfect match for the T100.
