I'll go back to the working from home, which I managed to do some today without spending any new money (I didn't do the furnace vent, so that doesn't count!)
A week ago, while I was working on the shed project, the bottom 2x4 rotted off the front fence. No picture, I just cut it up with the old timbers from out back. So, today is the day to put the replacement to use, before it warps beyond use. Smacked the remaining 2x2 off with a mallet - rotted away, and no need to replace.






Hey, and it got painted too! A couple other things from yesterday and today was mounting the hose reel for the soft water by the East gate, and making a couple trellis spacers for Carol out back (hold them in place).




I also started on the landscape lights I have for out front, but that was one little failure after another. Parts will be here by Sunday.​

 

Your garden and yard looks nice how do you keep everything green my Gardeb is doing all right these damn cucumbers keep wilting on me

 

Thanks, but the yard is still a mess. your plants are probably getting desiccated from the wind - find a wind break and water them, they will be alright.
Probably in two weeks I will actually have a picture of a whole yard. Everything is JUST now starting to come around. First Passion Flower of the year!

Nope, check out all the next out buds! Two in a pot, two on the fence. Runners they send out all over the yard to mow. Every now and then, I can dig one up, and it won't die - and I will get it pot started. Pretty soon, they will have their own caterpillars, which eat ONLY passion flower leaves, then the butterflies, which pollenate them. Those caterpillars can strip the plants, and Carol used to cut them in half. Until I read about the cycle, now it's just part of the back yard adventure!
