Alright, 9:15 drop off, done at 3. Basically used the tractor to drop scoops all over, hand raked them out, then finished with a backdrag with the bucket on float. It is high in some areas, and I barely made it near the end, so tomorrow or more likely, later this week, I'll go out and even that out.

Ended up with 37 tons the delivery guy said, he thinks the limit in MA is 31 on the road?

@Noelie84 after 1.5 inches of rain, 37 tons finally made an impact on our gravel bed

You need a York rake. Beats the hell out of hand raking, and it'll get you a smoother surface than a grader or box blade.

How many yards was his truck? Small roundstone like that usually runs around 2500lbs/yard, so that'll let you estimate roughly what you got, if he doesn't show you a slip from the quarry.

My brother just came by asking if I want to go in on a york rake with him. Our other parking/driveway area for the business is pack and needs a rake once or twice a year...now that I did this I probably should do that.

I am not sure about yards, it was a trailer on a 18 wheeler. He said he asked for 35 tons and the guy gave him 37. I paid 750 including tax for it, based off a quote from the guy yesterday for 35/36.

Could be. Seems like most quarries tend to load on the heavy side of what you ask for; when I was resurfacing my driveway last year I was asking for 5 tons per load to keep things more or less correct for what my truck's rated for, but once or twice they scaled me out at 2k-3k lbs over what I'd asked for. :notsure:

thanks! I’m going to call them up and see what’s the easiest for them to build. Chances are my order is easy anyway. With bump out no coatings/paints. No filler panels.

I have a few items for sale on marketplace and CL. No interest for weeks/months. Stimulus checks are pending and the messages start flowing....

Unfortunately, it's only 409. That's the highest grade they make their stuff in. Borla, Stainlessworks and I think MBRP make theirs out of 304 but their systems are LOUD! It's lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion so I guess it doesn't matter in the end :notsure: The ridiculous 5" tip is 304 though... I'll install it and see how it looks. In the photos, it actually seems pretty well proportioned with the truck. The pipes are 3.5" and I did the single side exit. I wanted the dual side exit but that system seems to be very significantly louder than the one I got. I don't want to shake the house when I leave every morning.

Eddy might even have them in stock then. Usually kick out, bare are in stock, but I know he had a sale not long ago so might not be in stock, might be. If you have any questions let me know, I'm a rep for him/ SOS

Makes sense, 409 I believe shouldn't rot out, just won't look clean after a couple winters. Corsa is 304 as well, but I know that's loud. Dual exit would have looked cool, but understandable with the kids and wife and not wanting to wake them up in the morning

Us too. I keep buying things to give me little projects to do. I got a pan/tilt camera to look at the back yard and river, some new sillcock valves because both of mine were bad, a bigger pipe cutter and some caps to finally cut out all the 1" pipe and circulator for the old water heater on my boiler, a whole bunch of grass seed, new blades, oil, filters, etc for all the mowers, and I have more planned once I decide when I can afford to spend more.

Really glad I have Amazon's 5% back card--it definitely adds up!

Honestly, the kids are up when I leave so I'm not as worried about them, I wouldn't want to deal with my wife's wrath if I wake her up every morning with the truck's exhaust though. I was concerned with towing also. I don't want something that's just going to shout at me for 4-6 hours towing the camper through the mountains. As much as I like the sexy exhaust notes from a V8 getting after it, I'm sure my wife and kids wouldn't be as enthusiastic about it...

I’ve been buying lots of ammo For the new .45. Lol...
I also just bought a new 6k btu ac for my boat that I’ll be installing soon. Excited for a cool cabin this season..
I’ve had my home gym setup forever. But nothing is better than carrying the barbell outside on a sunny day

Eh I was suppose to buy a car trailer to be able to tow my Tacoma woth the tundra and I bailed out on that and moved to NH instead. So v8 noises put a smile on my face a good enough reason to keep it? :D

many v8 from the big 3 gets near enough the same mpg as my Tacoma. The tundra is a thirst b&$@? but otherwise v6 mid size or v8 full size near enough the same mpg.

What does the 3.5l Tacoma get for MPG? My 5.0 F150 got better mileage than my 4.0 Tacoma and the newer gen F150's are even more fuel efficient.

Me, I'm getting about 20 mpg overall, winter a little bit lower.

    Looks like 5.0 about 16mpg: http://www.fuelly.com/car/ford/f-150?engineconfig_id=302&bodytype_id=&submodel_id=
    Tacoma 3.5 about 18.5: http://www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/tacoma?engineconfig_id=102&bodytype_id=&submodel_id=

Over 200k miles, that's a 1690 gallon difference, 2.50/gal translates to $4225 difference in fuel cost over 200k miles. Again, assume 15k miles per year, that's over 13 years, or roughly $325/year additional fuel cost for a 5.0 over a tacoma 3.5.

Get me the 6 speed 5.0 and I'd happily do that :)
