I think that’s the point. They haven’t determined if you’ll have immunity. That was the plan, but now testing isn’t giving great results, and puts the brakes on the whole “immunity card” idea until they figure it out.

Wouldn't it have to be a different strain of the virus to get it again? I thought you couldn't get the exact same virus twice.

That was my assumption also, but they reported yesterday they are having inconsistent results, told the White House to quiet down on the whole antibody talk for a bit. I guess some people that had been cleared and recovered went to give the plasma or whatever, and tested positive again before donating

    What, ignored? Never o_O

We're already screwed and delayed the inevitable. That said, everyone's low and that's to be expected. Markets react to surprises more than expected bad news. They'll still tank, but not as bad.

A lot of the concern from recovered persons re-testing positive I don't buy yet. With a mix of unreliable testing both then and now, asymptomatic carriers, etc etc. I could be wrong, for sure, but I don't buy that you can get reinfected yet.

I mean that's what a vaccine is, essentially.

I went to the Caribbean in February, right before this whole thing took off so we skirted under the radar. Side note, St Martin is just recovering from Hurricane Irma as a tourist destination - now this! Anyway, I came home and then got a hell of a cold. There's a chance I already had it. :notsure:

That's the thing - not shocking, so it might not be a big deal to the markets.

I agree, I don’t think they determined you can get reinfected, but testing just isn’t up to par yet to know much yet. And if they can’t know who has the antibody, they can’t give these immunity cards out or whatever

That was kinda sorta my point.

Although in 2020 to weld everyone's doors shut and retail spending to be only down 8% is interesting.

Is today a hold and it’ll get better day or a sell and wait for another bottom?

Yeah I mean with how unreliable the testing is, I think a lot of the metrics are depending on some shaky data. Garbage in, Garbage out.

Im gonna hold and buy more, but if a few stocks jump to a small gain for me I might sell and buy it back if it goes down. Could be a little of both today.

I'm tempted on USO, but think it will drop more before the end of the month.

What’s a better strategy? Selling and taking a loss on a stock to buy it lower and hold long or averaging down while it’s low?
