Looking at red dots for my current 300BLK pistol build. I've narrowed it down to 3 options:

    Leupold 1x34 red dot
Primary Arms 1x25 red dot (new release, available end of April)
    Sig Romeo 5

    Any input or other suggestions?

I like Pirmary arms, but the other two also make great stuff.

I've never personally handled any of their stuff but reviews all seem positive.

That is a really good price. This would be at the top end of my price range, maybe even a little over. But, these are top of the line parts. :goingcrazy:

Of those 3, Romeo 5. Light, motion activated, and well made.
For additional consideration, the Holosun HS403 variants, especially the solar unit.

What’s everyone’s recommendation to an entry level AR? Will just be for some weekend shooting, won’t have a ton of rounds going through it. I have done quite a bit of reading over the last several months. Looking at M&P Sport II or a Ruger 556. I know a lot of you guys have a lot of real world experience in this area, so would love to hear some of your opinions on those two or other recommendations.

The 16 or 18 inch Ruger MPR's are my immediate go to if you just want a good, reliable, well made rifle that works. Lots of little upgrades out of the box, smooth shooters (especially the 18 inch), and plenty of flexibility in build direction.

I own a number of primary arms optics. All are acceptable quality without the huge price tag. I also own 4x MROs on my SBRs and bullpups, and this optic is fantastic for the price tag (clear glass with a very nice field of vision and sharp dot). You can't go wrong with either so it boils down to what you are willing to spend. In my case, my rifles are not only fun, but they are ultimately tools for a very real purpose. I invest in my tools because I want them to work under the worst of conditions.

$600-$900 range. As I mentioned, this will just be shot on the weekend for fun. I want the best gun for the $$ but don’t really want to go much above $900.

Does this include optics/sights/other accessories? Adding a red dot/irons and sling can be money.

There's several good Holosun models out there. There's also the EOTech EXPS3, and the Vortex AMG

Just the gun itself. Looks like Sportsman Outdoor has the MPR for $659. So that could leave me some room to add some accessories. I like to modify stuff. Accessories can always be added later if I spend on the higher end of the spectrum.

For a first AR, I'd recommend a good set of iron sights to learn the fundamentals of marksmanship for that platform. Not as sexy as optics, but iron sights never (very rarely) fail.

Absolutely, I plan to enjoy it in stock form for a while before I start adding things. I will get acquainted with her and then decided what I want to change. Great advice, thank you.
