Interesting. No access to the bed but 82" of standing room. Wind is likely going to be pretty noisy in that. I'm not sure how I plan on tackling that problem on my idea yet. Speaking of....

Full size mattress with less aerodynamics and not following the cab lines or a twin size that follows the cab lines? I'm personally thinking the twin is enough. I think its comfortable sleeping next to someone and I dont think you will be hauling more than 2 people in one of these trucks. Unless you are @Blackdawg and think you are the size of Goliath.

Sorry thought you meant the rear diff. I looked in the fsm and couldn't find anything, not even run out at the output flange. It gears/chain, so it should have some backlash. I can't remember how much mine has, but I want to say very little. Take a video and post it up.

Have any of you guys fixed your LBJ after a failure? What parts do I need?

Short story. Go buy replacement ball joints for both sides. Buy new bolts. Likely your bolts attaching the LBJ to the spindle were overtorqued/reused too many times and snapped.

Also, you may want to buy some new shocks - the lower bushing is completely shot and the bolt is gouging the shock / shock is gouging the lower control arm... You may also want do inspect the rest of the truck as I am guessing there may be a few more issues going on...

I would also add that he verify the bolts in the outer of the spindle are able the be removed. If not best thing would be removing it and then extracting them

Yea... adding that all to my nice list of things to keep me busy during quarantine.. the goal is to get it back in the road so I can take the truck to someone who will inspect the vehicle thoroughly. But thank you... will go to parts stores tomorrow after I find out if stock parts will work with the fabtech lift

I think it would depend on the mounting hole locations on that Xterra rack. The prinsu rack has fixed feet positions but the bolt locations have a good bit of adjustment.

I cleaned out my trucks bed after some landscaping work and re installed my drawers. i also decided to make some cut outs on the box for some weight reduction. I cut out around 10lbs.

I also repainted the drawers with bed liner paint. I'm running out of projects with this damn quarantine.

You had a bolt failure. So find out which bolt or bolts are still stuck in the spindle and get them out. Hopefully you can.

Then replace the lbj and bolts as said.

But you might need a new spindle if you can't extract the bolts.

If you were driving when it happened check you tie rods and steering rack. But doesn't look like you had the wheel get sucked under.

And ditto on getting new shocks.

I was very confused when I saw a basic looking shocks but what looked like a heavily fabricated bump pad and gussets round the cam tabs, then I realized drop bracket.

Yea they're just the Fabtech shocks, whatever comes in that lift. If it were up to me, I would have gone another direction but this is the way I got it so just need to work with it.
