Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I hate that the media puts the "fame" on the accused, instead of the victim (I realize that can't always happen). When I clicked on it, it's a picture of the accused. Why not celebrate the life that was lost, than to give 15 minutes of fame to the POS!!!

I’m of mixed opinion on capital punishment.

#1 - quick summary judgement would definitely set an example for others.
#2 - I don’t have complete faith in the people in the legal system; they’re as fallible as we. How many executions of innocent people are acceptable?

Edit: I sat on jury for a two week murder trial. We had a lot of info different from what the media reported. I learned then never to cast judgement based on reporting. They pick and choose what to make public. We convicted the guy of murdering his girlfriend based on clear evidence, much of which was never reported.

French used to force a recorded confession out of the convicted in exchange for state leniency with a demand that they state that they are disgusting filth and then publicly execute them via the guillotine up until 1981.

I got picked out of 300 people a few years back. Wasn't so much the media, it was the way the sheriff dpt handled the investigation. What a cluster fuck. Ended up a hung jury. What fun that was. :(

But wait.... we can't violate his"Civil Rights". In CA. he would live a long life and die of natural causes on "Death Row" and the taxpayer would pay. People like this is why the British hanged and the French used the Guillotine. They also sent criminals to the Botany Bay and French Guiana Penal Colonies. They didn't coddle them, they dealt out swift Justice.

And 41 of 78 people onboard died, possibly some of them because of all those asshats taking time to grab their carry-on baggage instead of just getting out.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroflot_Flight_1492

    Edit:
Apparently Russia's official response about carry-on baggage slowing the escape was that they would've died anyway. Sounds legit.

    Evacuation with luggage
There was widespread speculation that the evacuation was delayed by passengers retrieving hand luggage prompted by video footage showing passengers leaving the plane with luggage in hand. According to TASS, citing a law enforcement source, the majority of passengers in the tail end of the aircraft had practically no chance of rescue, many of them did not even have time to unfasten their seat belts. He added that those passengers from the tail section of the aircraft who managed to escape had moved to the front of the aircraft even before it stopped, and that he had no confirmation that retrieval of luggage had slowed the evacuation. Speculation that the observed retrieval of luggage caused an evacuation delay was rejected by one anonymous witness.

So now there's someone who stopped to take video in the plane before getting out.

Edit: Plane was still coming to a stop when the internal video was shot so still seated.

I still think that "Man I gotta get video of this!" would be the last thought on my mind if I were in this situation.

I fly, or used to, pretty frequently and I'm always aware that some idiot would be only too ready to totally block the exits in order to save their precious iPad.

Also, WHOA, that euronews link had 345 ads on the page :D
