I'm in oncology and our practice furloughed hourly non-clinical staff by 8hrs as a preemptive cost savings against the coming financial pain. Salaried staff are forgoing PTO accrual since they technically still have to pay us 40hrs. Other cost savings efforts are underway too. It's not pretty but the big C doesn't give two rats asses about Covid and we continue to do what we can to care for everyone.

I think we are doing a little better over here in Canada than you guys across the border. Especially western Canada interms of control and keeping our hospitals from being overwhelmed.
I haven’t seen half the folks on that list posts anything for a while. If I decide to opt for the base kit I’m in for the first batch but if it’s the powermax (which I want but not need) I’ll have to opt for the second batch. It’s a bit more money than I bargained for and this covid-19 predicament isn’t easy on the wallet.

Must be rough worrying about a job. I work as a petroleum field service technician. Fancy way of saying I fix gas stations and I am still pulling 55 hrs a weeks. No signs of us slowing down.

Either dodge makes some grade F- coils, or I'm even more skeptical.

well, you have the population under the state of california so its not like its a fair comparison.

so if you just take california compared to canada we are actually doing alot better than you. then add the fact that cali has 2million more people and a fraction of the acreage

Mat anyway to know how many base kits, how power max kits you will offer in first batch. That way we have an idea how many of us will want base kit and how many power max kits. Maybe we can can do a new list based on how many want whatever kit? I would be in for base kit.

Okay folks. we have our quote back for our manifolds.

At this time, we will be doing manifold deposit for PowerMax Kits only.
    302SS Investment cast manifolds.

    your deposit reserves:
    1. your investment cast, rapid prototyped manifolds
    2. your timeline to receive a turbo kit

At the present time base kits will not be included in this. The cost of the casting has gone up. I can explain in more detail if needed.
If you want a base kit with one of these investment cast manifolds right now the cost will be more. Sorry.

To keep the base kit price difference *minimal* we would need 25 people ready to order.

Will the cost of the casting for the base kits rise anyway?

Most likely not, but the timeline on that is long. 20 weeks.

FYI these are 100% Made in America. No outsourced casts.
China is not even an option right now.

My question would be what is the new base kit price with these manifolds and are current ovtune customers paying for calibration. I am ready to order a base kit if price with these manifolds hasn't increased significantly.

    it would be about +$600.

To be fair, I will explain.
I have a business friend in Hong Kong who can get me reasonably priced stuff done. The plan was from the beginning to have these manifolds made in 302 SS investment cast.
They were to be casted in China.
Before anyone comes out attacking me for this, I'm being honest. Chinas casting prices are much more reasonable, and even the biggest automotive aftermarket companies have most of their stuff made in China. That includes high end carbon fiber, cast manifolds, exhaust, etc.

China is no longer at option. The entire company went belly under due to the Coronavirus.
So option B. Have them made right here in the USA.
    It just costs more.

$4250 is still super competitive though...hmm.
