I think with our diff the add disconnects at the pinion. I can test it with my lockers.

He did have it on an AUS model hilux so it could be different. I have no clue the front setup for first gens either.

Just did a fair bit of research because there’s not much else to do. I may be able to get a job in Australia or New Zealand in my field after school. They both have need to foreign positions in forestry and agriculture. I am leaning towards Australia based on the fact that they just had many fires there and the regeneration side of the forest industry (my end goal for a career) is going to be booming over the next rotation period.

Catch me in a nasty land cruiser and with a Ute tray out on the outback in 5 years :mudding:

Yeah just figured out I need to re use the brackets underneath.
On that note, anyone want a stock rear bumper/hitch. You will have to source your own bolts.

    All done!

I need to re wire the trailer harness and pick up nuts for the rim. Stock lug nuts are to big. Other than that, it's all good. Went pretty smooth with time to spare for BBQ and beer.

Looks great! Good thing you opted for the side protection tubes - otherwise the bumper would've been flush with the bedside and offered no protection.

A lot of after market bumpers are welded by hand on rudimentary equipment in small shops. It’s not that the welding is necessarily inferior, it’s just inconsistent. Plus, these guys don’t have the means for astm testing, or the insurance if they get sued after an accident involving one of their products. Very few can match the rating Toyota gives its OEM hitch. I pulled a two horse trailer at the rated capacity of the vehicle when I had my Tacoma with no issues.

Yeah that was something I wanted. I like that side tube also as a step if need be.

I have a bumper on order, but got something else delivered today. What's in the Tony Yang bodybag?

Base model black grille Keystone P/N TO1200407. Came with no screws, so disassembled easily without tools:
