I've tried to reason with her. Told her the judge doesn't care. They will do what they want. I said lets settle this ourselves, here's the language she wants:

"The parents agree that the children will not miss family events with extended or stepfamily members, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, step or half siblings, et
cetera due to the event not falling on the correct parent’s parenting time. If such event occurs on
the other parent’s parenting time, the parents shall arrange to alter the parenting time schedule
such that the children can attend the event and make up the missed parenting time with the other
parent either prior to or after the event."

She is so blind she can't see that I can come up with "family events" every day of the year.

LOL. Yes, that is always the language the parent with tons of family here in CO wants. Meanwhile, the one with no family here gets hosed. That language is patently absurd and no judge would ever put that in an agreement. "etc"?? Lol. Never ending obligations.

Which brings me to my seemingly biased magistrate. She has ruled against me every step of the way. I wrote my own review to the district court and got a massive win where the chief judge destroyed my ex, her lawyer, and the magistrate. I tried to get her to recuse herself, NOPE. I had a fatal flaw in my motion (I'm learning). Her lawyer submitted a motion and failed to cite statute, which should also be a fatal flaw, sails right on through. The whole system is fucked. My ex doesnt work the whole year. I asked the magistrate to impute her income. Nope, get bent. In other words, I support the kids year round, she supports them part of the year, and that is equal. It sucks donkey dick.

Oh and I don't have any family here. Moved here to be closer to hers.

I figured you have little or no family here.... based upon her desired verbiage.

Always be careful who you have kids with..... it is a loooooong term deal.

That sucks man. And, mother's usually get their way in this damn state despite the equal wording of the statutes... reminds me of the constitution - just words to be ignored.

Up until this, I've knocked out solid wins by fighting my butt off for my kids. From 52 overnights a year and a $1400/month child support payment, to 50/50 time, no alimony, no child support. She just wont quit. She feels I should have every other sat/sun and that is it.

Ahh, but the real question is why did you start out with so few ONs.... unless, that is what you wanted.

cheers to that! Would rather that "refund money" but in my savings account than in the govt's. In highschool/college I had a screenprinting company on the side, it was a lot of fun and then I went and got a business license and registered with the board and all that to save on the raw materials. Was loving it until tax season came around and that was the end of that.

As Ron Swanson used to say......

It was financially advantageous for me to do so, to get the divorce done, and then fight it upwards. Only had limited overnights for a couple months till i got the 50/50.

You can file today but still not pay till July 15th. Also, if you owe money you won't be providing the IRS any direct deposit information........ sooo you will probably still have it mailed to you. Keep an eye on the IRS website https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment and see if it will let you update your direct deposit information after they process your 2019 return.
