SS with a sus fork is a lot of fun for me, maybe not for a commuter though.

How long is your total commute? Back when I was in school my rigid singlespeed was my ride to class and ride the town trails bike. I also took it on a gravel ride which was fun. There is just something fun about the full rigid. I’d bet a rigid plus bike would be super fun

It's maybe 1/2 mile through my neighborhood before I hit the dirt and I pop off the trail right at my work parking lot. I occasionally do go the whole way on pavement, but I have a commuter/tourer style bike for those days. We also have an 8 month old, so I'm probably gonna pick up a cargo bike this summer for my wife and I to take her to daycare.

Bikepacking is not even hard with this bike. I literally had a full size sleeping pad, pillow and tent, clothes, snacks, tons of water, and that was with spare space in every bag and one anything mount still empty, not to mention the top of the rack was open too. You could seriously live on this bike and travel the world with ease.

First ride of the week and I forgot my damn shoes. Got real slippery after that first creek crossing, cut it short and doubled back.

Looking at buying this fork to upgrade my Rockshox Recon. This guy said it was bought on EBay for his son but never mounted after son decided he wanted to move up to a 29er. Stanchions don’t seem to have any knicks or anything on them and appears almost new, it’s a 2018. Not knowing the 1st owner kinda scares me but then again, these look alllmost new. :notsure:
