Transmission TSB 0077-16

I realize this is a little older of a thread, but just took my ‘16 OR in and they applied this TSB and said it was the most current TSB. I’m wondering why they didn’t flash the 0062-18?

 

I want to know this as well.

0062-18 vs 0077-16

Can both be applied to a 2016?

 

2016 limited here, my local dealer is giving me the “ must pay for diagnostics, it may not be a flashing issue. Says they must drive it and determine that it is tsb-0077-16. Trying to charge me for warranty work. Any suggestions on how to get them to just flash my truck? I’m a newby so apologies if I’m in the wrong place. Thanks everyone

 

Why does it cost money to have a technician take your truck for a drive and try to reproduce your complaint ? Road tests are free.
Does your truck have the symptoms that the TSB covers ? If you go into the dealership and complain that there is an issue with delayed transmission shifting , they have to fix it . Have you checked your VIN # to see if your truck is applicable ?

 

I’m scheduled for check up but I get the feeling they want to charge me for something. He said the vin# isn’t included but it may be some other issue. Ima service tech for 10+yrs and I don’t want to have to argue this when I already know what’s going on. Is there an ethical obligation to the company that can be used to make this happen on my terms? Thank you for your help

 

The TSB really doesn't do much if anything. Drive it in ECT and S mode, and drive it like you mean it. Push the pedal on the right down HARD!
