Was just watching a couple videos on reviews and picking an amp. Think a modeling amp is probably the way to go to start off.

I had a Line 6 Pod years ago when I had electrics, the upgraded to a Line 6 amp with everything built in...sold it when I got off electrics but it was a lot of fun. It can mask a lot of your errors

if i were to do it all over again, that's the route i would go.

some of them also can be plugged into a computer and used to record. i think the Fenders have that option.

Was taking the strings off and this piece fucking fell out. Do I take this back to the place I bought it from and say what the fuck? Is it an easy fix?

That’s an easy fix as long as that is a standard bridge size, which it most likely is. If the place you bought it from deals in guitars they can more than likely fix it for nothing.

They do. I’m just pissed because I was already somewhat regretting buying this guitar, and then a string snaps less than a week after having it and then that little piece was clearly already broken. I could have bought a brand new guitar for the same price, which I clearly should have done. I might just see if I can return it and get something else from them.

From the looks of the E and A strings, they looked like they needed changed anyway. Did your B and high E have rust on them?

I was going to swap the strings on Friday when I had the day off. Yeah there was some minor rusting on the B and E

Get a set of Elixir Polywebs. They last forever so as long as you don’t do pic scratches and dumb shit. All other strings will rust, and get crudded up depending on the environment and your sweat. The polywebs are coated correctly and last forever. Don’t get the nanowebs. They’re junk.

And for amps... Dr. Z Maz 18 Jr. Nr

They won’t sound as bright/fresh as a set of normal nickel, (maybe like 80%) but I’ve had a set on my tele for over 3 years now and they’ve held up. So for any electric they’re worth their cost, unless you are the type of player that thrashes strings. If you are just buy a 12 pack of ernies and call it a day.

Honestly man, I would load it up and take it back and see if they will refund it.

I'm seeing hella deals on Facebook marketplace because people are out of work and needing money.
I don't want to sound like it would be taking advantage of these people but they gotta eat, pay mortgages and stuff.

I’m going in Friday. Gonna take the rest of the strings off. I have low E and A on so I can practice lazy eye in the meantime
But will definitely be seeing if I can get a refund. If they’re selling a used guitar you’d think they’d have restrung it and made sure it was in good condition and not have shit breaking in under a week

was trying to sit and Netflix a documentary about a cult and i got an idea to flesh out an older song idea. been a work in progress with a full band but i had to get the new outro ideas down real quick. hopefully after quarantine i'll be able to record full band demos again instead of just guitar only. the drum machines i like using for my synth project don't fit the rock band at all.
