And install them with blue threadlocker (the one that doesn't take heat to remove) and a torque wrench to proper torque.

yes, and yes. The LBJ bolts are stretch bolts (iirc) and aren’t meant to be reused. Or if you wheel a lot just keep the NAPA ones as spares since you got them 20% off and they have a warranty.

 

That's what I said. Your bolts failed. There are 4 that hold the LBJ to the spindle. A couple fell out and then bam.

 

the truck is clocking 175k+ and I think the ball joints aren’t even original, they probably came with the lift. Anyway, lifetime warranty gives me peace of mind because companies wouldn’t offer that on trashy products

 

we’ll take it apart and look at it... possibly just get the new bolts and return it keep those ball joints

It don't matter what you say if someone wants the non-oem they are going to get them no matter what, all they need is one person to say that's what I use and everyone else is just wrong.
They are too many people that will defend what they use no matter what they see or hear.

Moog and OEM are still neck and neck in my comparison. Haven't beat on the truck much since but if moogs last a year and have a lifetime that's the option I'll go with without a doubt. Doesn't make sense to pay for OEM every year when Moog hold up well enough.

Red doesn't require heat. I have no issues removing mine.

 

Yea I'm with the methodology: buy what you can afford.
my 555 ones have been fine for me and I romp on it pretty good, so until I have some kind of catastrophic failure or they wear out super quick, I have no reason to step up to OEM.

I would only do OEM bolts though. They're cheap and I wouldn't trust any aftermarket bolts for something that critical in the front suspension.
Unless it was something I sourced from fastenal or somewhere where I knew the grade and quality of the hardware.
