Yeah. I have a URD Crank pulley. Small increase in performance. Looks cool though.

The real controversy is whether or not a lightweight crank pulley increases torsional vibration on the crankshaft. It’s highly debated and there’s good reason to believe that it does increase wear and chances of catastrophic failure.

I’ve had a few oil analysis done. Everything seems to look great. But copper was just a tad high on both tests. Even though it’s in spec it’s something to keep an eye on.

Good to know. I already bought the Boomslang, having a hard time fitting it behind the glove box and keeping my AC tube.

thinking about buying an extension,BUT Boomslang wants $400!
Hoping the company you provided can get me one for $200

    What’s IIRC? A company?

I should have some results by the end of the summer

Have some other mods and adjustments to take care of first...stay tuned!

NICE NUMBERS!!!! My Truck pulls really really strong in that 12 pound area too,
Its hard not to notice the power difference at 12 pounds of boost in your own truck ,even though another member posted his 2 cents that hasn’t hit that number and says the power is not there at higher boost, lol

“Hasn’t hit that number” makes it sound like some sort of accomplishment. It’s a $100 pulley size making sub 300hp.

First start! Finally got my helicoil in the engine and everything reinstalled.

Now I need to figure out how to set up this gauge.

Nice. Glad you fixed the threads.

looks like innovative updated that gauge. Might be looking at one soon. PLX has been a complete let down and has shit customer service.

Why does the gauge show vacuum in “Hg but boost in PSI? Is vacuum not usually measured in PSI as well?

From what I’ve seen they almost always measure vacuum in Hg.

It did transition to PSI when the boost came on so I guess that’s fine. AFR was 14-19 on my little lap around the block

Yes with that gauge when it shows vacuum it will show the -HG.
When the vacuum goes to zero and boost comes on the gauge will show PSI but the number will be zero
on the vacuum side of the gauge and the boost gauge section will show the boost numbers as it goes up.

If I remember you might have to set the gauge for your altitude holding the 1st button down on the left side till it goes into the program section. Somewhere in there you can make adjusts toggling through the menu. This will get you the correct boost numbers if I remember for your altitude you are at.
19 is too high (lean) for AFR btw.
Wide open throttle AFR should be 11-12 ideally open loop.
ECU will fight to keep AFR at 14.7 or so in closed loop even at WOT until open loop.
If you had a methonal setup you can over power the ECU in closed loop at WOT and get
the AFR to 11-12 by spraying when in closed loop.
To rich at WOT will bog down the truck and burn the cat or cats (9-10 AFR)
To lean at WOT will blow up the motor 15-16-17 AFR.

So it’s safer to run a little rich than too lean even tho the leaner edge means more power.

I saw that in the PSB manual. I did not program my altitude yet because I just assumed it’s set for sea level and I figured I’m close enough.

I haven’t gone WOT yet, and I won’t until I get the Transgo kit done. Now you have me second guessing the range I originally posted about my AFR. I did take a photo of the gauge with AFR 14.9 and boost -19.5”Hg. Maybe I had a bit of confusion. Either way, I screenshotted your reply for future reference. Thanks for the feedback.

I remember having to calibrate my gauge first. Did you do that yet? You have to take the sensor off with the engine off but leave it plugged in for like 10 minutes and then reinstall it.

I'm averaging an AFR of 14.5 when not in boost and it goes down to 12.5 max under boost. When coasting it reads 22.4 which is the fuel cutoff (manual trans). I've never seen numbers outside of that range.

The ECU will always work to keep AFR at ~14.7 in closed loop. Until you do some open loop pulls you won't really know how well it's performing, once you do, let us know what those numbers are. At WOT/open loop with a lot of load on the engine (going uphill on the freeway at 75mph) my AFRs dip down to about 11.2, which is what you want to see. If at WOT/open loop youre still seeing 14.7 or close to it then you're running too lean

Just an update on theses 5310 Denso IK22
plugs, these are cooler plugs and needed if you are running a supercharger

Pulled them out to inspect them after 45,000
    on them and superchargered.

Amazingly enough they still look great.

4 of the plugs the gap was still close to the original gap.
But the other 2 plugs the gap was alot larger and out of spec's.

I replaced them all cuz I had pulled them out.
These plugs are rated at 30,000 but they will go longer.
