Not the worst they actually achieve a full lockup side to side like a Detroit Locker but they release easy and allow mild turns under pressures without hopping and skipping. They're entirely geared. The most famous use of a Torsen design is a Detroit TruTrac. I've noticed this Toyota Torsen is pretty aggressive if I leave hard on the pedal in a turn, it'll chirp the inner tire indicating it's locking 100%, even if I leave in a hurry it might, but I can be soft and it'll be quiet too. Quite sporty, I like it. It'll light em both up for a burnout easy

Its just ive seen vids where the true track goes open diff when lifting a tire off the ground but locking up with brake application sometimes other times not

But from what ive read they seem like the perfect diff

They still are a "limited" slip, they will slip if the imbalance is too great. They aren't lockers, however they don't freewheel 100% either, unlike an open diff something is still going to the side with traction, whether it's enough depends on weight and the situation. I don't think they're good locker replacements, plus toyotas are often overlanding and camping rigs, heavy... but they have little baby diffs and that doesn't leave a ton of room for a limited slip to do it's thing in a robust way, when up against 4k+ lbs. However on a light little car with car diameter tires where traction is often within 1-1.5:1 ratio side to side, no worries, other than straight up drag racing at super high HP I'd way rather have a torsen than open or a spool. And clutched LSDs are just annoying and they wear out.

I don't know about that first one, that actually seems kind of normal given the big tires. The one in that second video is broken. You couldn't even begin to do that with my Lexus, it would have taken off right off the jack

Does Toyota still sell clutch rebuilds? I know you used to be able to get Kevlar clutches for the 2nd and 3rd gen supra

I was thinking about copping but i saw the jeep video and decided to hold off, with my 4 runners A-TRAC (locks wheel thats spinning) it should aid the true track though right?

That was not cheap to make.

    I dig it

Before you commit though, ensure the butt stock and other little odds and ends are the pattern you seek.

AR10 is not standardized as there are 2 platforms they're built off of.
