Nice just cut the OEM harness and extended it? How long of an extension did it take?

 

I probably added an extra 8-9 inches on the wires themselves. Yeah, I just decided to cut and extended the OE wiring at the pump itself, not at the main harness. It is not easy or fun to solder 12 AWG BTW.

Is our airbag just a direct swap in? What about the Airbag cover/ horn center piece? Do they come as one whole unit?

 

you need to use the airbag from a corolla also. The air bag is plug and play, for 2015 everything else is plug and play also.

 

For every other year the air bag is plug and play, yes, but the steering wheel controls will require a major rewire and a repin as well, as the Z1 plug the Tacomas have at the spiral cable and Z5 plug that the Corollas have are vastly different.

Whats every ones take on shorty headers with our boosted setups? Being in CA and trying to keep it as close to "legal" as I can the only option really is JBA shorty headers for the 12-14 Tacomas. I will be setting up some work to re work the exhaust overall. re work the re-route for better flow in 2.5" into a 3" collector and 3" back into a black widow 250 muffler. While I am at it, is it worth swapping in some ceramic titanium shorty's?

 

his is 2012 but I believe its the same as 2013-2015. There are a few wires missing in pre 2014 that need to be added. I had to add a few things when I swapped in the 2014-2015 controls and radio before.

 

Do they do a sniff test in cali?

 

Yeah... surprised cylinder #1 didn’t misfire with how bad the plug was.
