Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro

I bit the bullet and ordered the Stage 2 Foam Cell Pro kit last week. Nice sale price and free recovery boards.
How long did it take for you guys to get your parts? Website said shipped within 48 hr of order but my order is still “awaiting fulfillment” a week later.

 

It shipped about four days after I placed the order (on a Friday, granted). They told me it would be less than a week to arrive, but we're at a week and the tracking suggests it will be closer to two weeks total. LTL freight. I'm not in a big rush -- working from home now, yanno?

 

Good info; I just ordered mine today. Granted, I’m going through a dealer. But interested to see how long it takes. I think the shipping center is like 20 miles from the shop. Hopefully faster than 2 weeks.

 

I’m not far from Wilsonville. Opted for shipping since I’m at work most days.

 

You could have walked to their shop in Newberg! I picked stuff up directly last time I purchased

 

That'd be great but I work long days. I emailed this weekend to tell them I was off Monday and could pick up order and save them shipping hassle but no response. Guess it'll ship eventually.

 

Surprised they didn't save some shipping costs and just drive it over

 

Needed some info on how they have determined the spring height for 2 inch lift and how they address the Taco Lean, sent them an email at suspension@ironman4x4.com. Got a return email undeliverable with a real long explanation pretty strange. Took the email off the USA web page they had it posted incase customers had any questions.
The return email gave some explanation as to I'm not on a list for them to receive from. I don't know now I'm wondering why? Guess I gotta get on a list to get info strange

 

How is your suspension holding up? You've had it since 2015? Any issues other than the initial coil spring issue?

 

I sold the truck. I haven't gotten anything negative from the buyers though.

I plan on getting the tundra set up when I get some better in flow.

 

If your on their website, try the chat feature. They are quick to reply and very helpful.

 

The chat is the way to do it! I have used it 3 times already with different questions and they are real fast! Even on the weekend, I think that's when I was chatting

Looks nice, hope the install goes well. That Stage 1 Foam Cell Pro looks like a very complete kit.

 

Looks like Amazon special traction boards. Hopefully you didnt pay more than $60 for them

Update: picked up my stage 2 kit.

Front suspension went in okay. Biggest issue was dealing with the long UCA bolt as there was a metal panel in way that required bending. Got past that. One of the swaybar relocation mounting blocks was for some reason slightly off by a millimeter. One bolt couldn’t thread in so I ground away a bit of the bolt hole opening and got it sorted. Made no sense. Prolly slight differences in the tolerances of the truck bolts holes and relo kit parts. The other side went in easy.

Two issues with rear install—-

1. No grease supplied with leaf spring bushings. I had no silicon-PTFE grease. Just bearing grease and lithium. I used the bearing stuff.

2. Ubolts— I ordered the heavy duty leaf pack. It’s super fat and weighs a ton. The supplied u-bolts are too short (same length as the stock u-bolts 175mm inner length). So once you wrangle the heavy leaf pack in place, the u-bolts are too short to thread on the bolts. So my truck will be on jack stands for while more until I can source longer ubolts. Just an FYI to make sure you got the right parts. Their website only shows 1 ubolt option so not sure how they haven’t run into this problem before unless they don’t sell their heavy duty leaf packs often.

 

A couple other points:
—-I was a little confused by the leaf pack labels: DS and NS. DS = driver’s side. Is it Aussie driver side or American? I sent them a message— Bubba wrote back to say that DS is in fact LHD American driver side. Couldn’t tell which leaf pack was taller. Hopefully no lean once all is settled.

—- the instructions didn’t really state what to do with the small set screws on the front coil overs. Do I tighten them once the truck is on the ground? Why are they shipped loosely screwed in?

—-To adjust the height, do I need to remove the coil over, compress the spring, adjust the threaded adjusters and then release the spring tension? Or can I use a tool to adjust the suspension height with the coil over installed?
