I live in a control state so prices are always close to retail, the problem here is getting the chance to purchase. With that said the taylor line isn’t quite “well known” yet so it’s not too hard to find. Small batch is around often, single barrel comes like twice a year and last in the shelf for 3 weeks or so. The rye is 1-2 times a year and also goes pretty quick, don’t think we purchase as much of it as a state

    EHT SB $40
    EHT SiB $70
    Rye $70

I don’t buy small batch much, single barrel just blows it away, haven’t opened my rye yet, heard great things.

if you haven’t had it yet I’d say $100 is acceptable for the SiB.

I've only has the SB but if the SiB is that much better, I'll need to start looking for some for sure

I'm definitely feeling more comfortable with the price since multiple people say it's better lol

And $30 above retail isn't too bad

If you’re accustomed to buying expensive whiskey then it’s shouldn’t hurt so bad

Makers Mark is our everyday Go To but we got a bottle of WhistlePig when we bought the new house in NC to celebrate. I think we have a new favorite.

I'm not, that was my dilemma haha. This will be the most expensive so far, normally don't top the $70 mark very often

Treat Yourself - but do be careful to not overindulge! A day or so after lamenting the lack of my preferred Japanese whiskies from my on-line source, and buying Scotch instead, I got notice they had new stock! So now I'm good to go for a long time...

I got a little creative tonight and decided to try something weird. My wife made some strawberry shortcake for dessert and I thought it'd be interesting to pair it with some whisky.

I remember my Octomore flight had some strawberry cheesecake likeness in my notes, so naturally I thought I'd pair one of the most heavily peated whiskies in the world with this shortcake.

    Sure enough... it works!

    But it's definitely weird.

Tell me about it. I've been working from home since March 2nd. But I can't complain since we are both still working.

Almost made the kids sleep in the garage last night. Or take a tarp into the woods. Just get outta my face!
