The quick answer would be yes you need to supplement the charge. The smart alternator will not charge these batteries to what is needed and due to that your starter battery will die and need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The Blue sea ACR does nothing with charging and will not help at all in this area, it is only a battery isolator .................hope this makes sense.

In my scenario I dealt with exact same OGE setup there was a failure. That was the starting battery being drained numerous times and the truck would not start. I had to link the batteries together to "jump start" my truck. My truck was a daily driver and was not producing the proper charge to keep the batteries maintained. It was my daily driver and until the failure I was not aware of issues with our trucks and the maintenance of the AGM's. After reading TW threads I have found several ways to correct or help the problem,(solar as you suggest) I am just trying to offer help on the front end. I wish I would have known sooner rather than later, it would have saved me from depleting a less than 2 year old Odysee AGM battery.

So it’s not the best but here is a pic of what one of the mounted lights looks like. I plan to remove them soon and put a 4”x4” square of clear adhesive in the spot each one resides in to resist any wear issues on the paint. I also need to clean them lol.

Looks great! just a thought, the plugs in the body near the light are threaded holes, you could mount them there with SS bolts.

Thanks, I didn't know that! However, I have some sliders to install soon and will be moving them to the legs of the sliders most likely.

Major mod today. Installed the one, and probably only, sticker on the back glass. I’m ready to go shooting!

I like those little LED light pods. Here is where I used 4 of them recently.

Thank you for that picture. I had a very short thought about using these as scene lights on the sides of my eventual roof rack but worried they wouldn’t have enough throw. They are a lot more impressive than I expected from license plate lights.

I also installed a pair under my tailgate and tied them into my reverse lights. This helps to illuminate the hitch at night.
