Well looking at my area homes similar to mine are listed for more than I paid for mine in 2018 (and I bought in a sellers market).
So house values certainly haven’t dropped where I’m at.

In fact it makes me happier about my homes value because I’ve redone everything in my home except the drywall. Homes without all that are being listed for higher than I bought mine for.

I’m a believer that trying to time the market on a home is just as futile as trying to time the stock market.

It’s a weird time to buy/sell. Mortgage rates have been really good but idk what they are now. We locked at 3.5 but I know people who got lower, earlier, and they may have gone up by now. It’s usually inverse of the stock market so when that really hit the bottom, mortgage rates got really good. Now idk...

but, now people are hesitant to list a house. New listings have been pretty stagnant. Companies like open door are having mass layoffs and Zillow dumped all their pending offers. Do you really want strangers coming and going for an open house or a showing right now? Touching all your stuff. Coughing on things? Luckily we were well into the process before shit hit the fan and had an offer accepted before lock down, and the house we bought was vacant.

Agents Have to do “virtual showings” and aren’t allowed to go to closings. I toured way too many homes that I walked up to thinking “this is it” from what I had seen in the photos but walked away thinking how shitty the house was and how good the agent must’ve been with photoshop. I’d never be able to buy “virtually.”

A lot of the normal processes is different now. Hell, my wife and I closed last week and we did it in a parking garage at a 6ft folding table and had to bring our own pens. It’s a weird time

Because I’m bored and have done more impulse online shopping in the last month than in my entire life - let’s talk gym bags...

I currently have a UA Duffle. It’s got a shoe compartment and a fairly good sized main part for all my shit. It is definitely overloaded when I have leg day and have to add a pair of squat shoes, my belt, and knee sleeves. I was looking at some of the upright “backpack” style ones and can’t decide if I’d like it. I feel like every time I went to get something it’s 100% going to be at the bottom and I’ll have to dig through everything or take it all out. I really like the idea of the outer belt holder though so that doesn’t take up bag room...

    discuss...

I’ve been eating cleaner since this all started. Still fat since i don’t really have much of a way to work out, but it’s a start. Also got a Treager a month or so ago, so I’ve been grilling on it about every day. It’s freaking amazing.

It’s a nice grill my buddies parents gave me when they moved. Don’t plan it dying soon and I hope it doesn’t.

Best investment I’ve made in a while. I’ve cooked a bunch of stuff on it. Some of the best steaks I’ve ever made, chicken, wings, drumsticks, burgers, deer burgers, zucchini, asparagus, squash, corn....

I got the one with WiFi so I can set the grill temp on my phone, And it’ll alert me when the probe hits the temp I set for the meat. It’s nice.

you can do pizza on the Treager.

if it takes more than 90 seconds to cook your pizza, you're not making real pizza.

Seriously though they are great rigs. So when are you doing your first brisket? This was one I did on my buddy’s traeger...turned out great!

PS, the Treager app has some fantastic recipes. I recommend downloading it whether you have the grill or not.
