    These are for a 2001.

The part numbers are all correct.

    The question is:

Are the rear shocks supposed to be the same length?

One side is different length than the other. Take off the stock ones to see which is which. I cant remember off hand.

1st Gens, only. Driver side is the short side, and the longer one is passenger side.

The truck is currently sitting in the Toyota dealership parking lot. There is a 5 inch hole in the frame and they basically said I couldn't drive it.

The dealership is 20 minutes away so seeing the truck or taking it apart is out of the question right this second.

That is correct. The reason for that, is because of the way the shocks are mounted on your truck. One shock goes towards the front of the vehicle, and the other towards the rear of the vehicle and they are slightly different in length.

    One more question.

In this photo, the snap ring is on the leftmost or 2.5" lift setting. Is that correct? The black ring (coil seat?) is also put on correctly?

The is also a rubber band around this part:

    Is that for a reason?

I know the questions are pretty green but i've heard of people here having problems getting parts installed upside down, and i'm really not into having to do this twice.

They should'nt have been set at all but the snap ring in question is set at the highest setting

& yes the spring seat is on right

i knew i'd get some kind of shit for the rubber band question, just shows how noob i am :D

What do you mean the ring shouldn't have been set at all...it should have came disassembled and with instructions? I want the snap ring moved to the stock setting so it'll have to be moved. I'm guessing there is a special tool for that?

You can move the snap ring with your fingers...it's easy.
