17” fuels -12mm offset w 31” FUEL AT gripper tired. MBRP 3” exhaust, prinsu roof rack, Baja designs fog lights, winjet aftermarket tail lights. Underdog racing short throw shifter, RC leveling kit, AFE cold air intake... for now
Hi everyone, hope this message reaches everyone well and safe amid this current fuckery we’re living through. I was hoping to get some help with my Slimline Hybrid bumper. A mechanic friend of mine installed it for me, although it looks great from the front, if i look at the side there is about a 1” gap between the
Steel bumper and the plastic on the existing bumper. Does anyone that have such a bumper know how to address this, or encountered a similar problem? I watched a YouTube vid on a similar bumper, and it came with relocation brackets for the coolant lines, whereas mine did not.... I’m wondering if this is where my problem is coming from? Help if you can please!

So that looks to be the SSO bumper. The thread I linked should help, but a 1" gap seems like quite a bit. Got any pics to share?

I just looked through the install steps... i think i know where we fucked up. I wasn’t aware of these instructions, and i don’t think the mechanic looked through them either... but it’s more and more looking like he fucked up the cutting of the plastic. In his defense my dumb ass sent him a video of a similar bumper install, the CBI, but now i can see where the mistake was made. I’ll still send you pics later. Thanks for the responses

Yeah if all the adjestments were done and bolts tight dressing installed on plastic it should be pretty flush. Certainly sounds like too much was cut.

Yes it was. I sent him the video for the C4 fab. Serves me right. I’m such a fucking idiot lol. Now I’m on the market for a new bumper lol. Any advice on where to get it?

    All the things!
Check craigslist. There's always guys pulling bumpers to install full steel bumpers, or some that have minor scrapes. You could also post a WTB in the BST forum.

    Edit: Also check http://www.car-part.com/

Seriously either post pictures or delete the thread. No one has a crystal ball and can see the problem.
