Not sure if it's exactly ar15 related, but I've been eyeballing the Rock Island VR80. It's basically a semi-auto shotgun styled after the AR15. I like the fact that the ergonomics are already familiar to me and I don't need to feed a tube. The credible reviews of it are sparse, but it looks like it shoots decent ammo well.

****edit: looks like it's imported by Armscore and RI...

I don't own a shotgun yet but I've been interested in the FN Semi-Auto, the VR80, and a Mossberg 590 "Mariner" pump action.

What do you guys think of AR style shotguns?

You’re absolutely right and I apologize for using the word “garbage” when referencing certain brands. I’ll refrain from it in the future and I apologize if my opinion insulted some members. I just seen “BS” in the thread so I figured, without scrolling through 1079 pages, it was just a thread to BS in.

Best of luck to everyone with the pew-related stuff. I’ll stick to the tacoma-related threads where I can learn from others who have more experience and knowledge.

I like the idea of a common manual of arms between owned firearms, and mag fed anything is usually better. If they figured out how to reliably make 12ga feed from a box mag I'm all for it, lord knows it ain't easy.

No reason to leave, you obviously have some knowledge to share...just remember not everyone is capable, comfortable, or knowledgeable to the point you are

I own a small gun shop and in the last few months, I cannot keep the budget rifles in the store....the higher end stuff, BCM, DD etc dont move near as fast....especially right now

People are learning, they're not comfortable dropping a grand or more on a rifle when they have no idea what they're doing with it

A low budget rifle coupled with a few hundred rounds and some range time is a great way to start people out in the hobby and get them comfortable and get them to learn the basics

If you could only have one, Aimpoint PRO or triji MRO?

Never run an MRO but if I was choosing between the two today I'd go that route

Owned and shot with both, preferred the MRO more. But both are great, flip a coin if you can’t decide either way you’ll be happy.

Not me. my wife has a PRO, I was thinking of upgrading her after she asked if I could make her set up lighter. Which I already did, all that’s left is either switch the optic, or leave it. I guess it’s maybe time to update the optic too. Sounds like the triji is gtg.

Just installed and it's a noticeable improvement. Nice and crisp. Thanks again! I like the thickness...much easier to catch the thumb on.

Is there some kind of optical illusion here or is that optic just super long?

Not sure. It’s 12.5” long. Certainly not short. It isn’t NXS 1.1-4x24 short. And it’s also a 34mm tube so the proportions are not what you are use to seeing on an AR.

    Another view?
