    I am just afraid of the underperformance of oil for who knows how long. Your only opportunity in that fund (as far as I can see) is price appreciation since it doesn't pay dividends. It may work out, or not, but the big companies are paying huge dividends just to hold on to shares.

    This market is so crazy, we may have hit the bottom, or another 50% drop could be in the cards. I honestly have no idea, I am leaning towards the bottom being in, but not too confident on that.

    Won't tell you what to do, but consider -- in a year or two years, do you think oil consumption will be substantially different or nearly the same as six months ago?

    Short term play is a gamble of course.
