Mine is a 2012 hence the username 12TRDTacoma

2014 may be plug and play also, I'm not sure, but for sure my new and old clockspring needed a major rewire for all of this to work.

They do, but for vehicles 2000 and under. For 2001 and up it is visual and OBD2 plug in only.

You need to keep the appearance of the cats. They wouldn't know if they are gutted or not.

They would. It is easy to tell if the cats are gutted or not when you can smell the entire shop contaminated in CO gasses.

Besides if they fail you for that, you are forced to buy OE cats for the later gen models and those cost some pretty pennies.

Can HP tuners act as an O2 sim?

I have the jba headers. I think DT makes a more quality header but they are slacking on getting the 2012+ headers carb approved. The JBAs get the job done though. When I installed I noticed it shifted the torque curve lower and it made a slight change in exhaust done.

    My shit is all stock.
I'm running them. Did them back in March of 2015. They were a bit of a pain to install. It would've been nice to have another inch or so to the post-collector portion. By the time I got the cat opened up enough to accept that diameter, the gap between the header and the cat had opened up about 3/4" or so. I ended up having to make an extension piece. I'm also not crazy about the poor port alignment of the two rearmost cylinders. It's a bit wonky. Had the left side off a few months back and noticed that. Wasn't enough meat there to grind away the area that needed opening up. Definitely not a bolt-on mod. If you don't have the equipment, You'll be paying someone else to do several hours labor and welding. Things need to be un-bolted, cut, fitted, tacked, unbolted again, fully welded, and then bolted back up.

All that aside, They've been trouble free since install. At the time, I was still N/A So, I didn't feel a huge boost in performance. But, looking at these vs. the stock manifolds, you just know that they're flowing way better.

Yah I hear you on the pain points. I’m not a welder so would need a friend help or a shop do It. I need to get a bunch of other stuff done and wanted to see if it’s worth it. I’ll have either 2.8 or 2.5 (pending Valve body job)

Those look really nice. I wish it wasn't so difficult to do them and so much work was required to make them fit otherwise I would be running them already.

Were you tuned or untuned at the time?

    No.
That was a couple years before I'd ever even heard of TacomaWorld and this thread. Come to think of it, I may not have even had the blower at that point. The oldest pic of the blower that I can find in my phone was taken in July of 15. Looks brand spankin new too. Memory is slipping. Getting old sucks.
