Was tempted to hop on this, but long travel build is happening this year and it’s a lot easier to buy the turbo kit vs full LT haha at least I’ll get to see all you guys run it for while, but it’ll be happening once I’m done with my suspension.

I can’t believe I missed this. Damnit so much. Take one day off from TW and now I’m still at 0% Turbo. Looks like I’m in for the second batch.

any of you in the first batch buy-in individuals close to Denver let me know - I'd be interested in first hand observations and feedback. Things should be real interesting in a few months when the deliveries become reality. I'd still love that OVTune SC - just saying :)

I will be doing the install in the Denver area plus we like like 15 mins away from each other so if you want to watch the install and drive it you are more than welcome.

Okay here are a few runs during tuning and testing

Here is base vs ford OEMs. 6.5psi
There are some other dyno runs in here I have to find, in this thread.
This is with torque converter unlocked.

and for some reason the forum is making these pics crazy dark..
garrett base vs k03 base tc unlock.jpg

    stock vs base locked

    stock vs base lock.jpg

    stock vs base unlocked

    stock vs base unl cut.jpg

Garrett powermax peak torque test @ 14psi, during fuel testing.
I still need to get the other powermax runs off.

i must be reading those wrong, it appears the base makes more torque up to 3000rpm at 6.5psi than the powermax at 14psi (or is the red line = the base comparison in the last graph)?

    Edit
answered my own question - the last graph red line looks like the base curve from the previous pictures.

    Thanks for these.
Look forward to the production graphs, and the full powermax curves

One more nit pick for page one info. What are the octane requirements for each stage. I can get 91 anywhere but 93-94 is rare up here unless near a city.
Would be good info for your buyers. I know you answered octane questions somewhere in this thread, but not sure if anything would have changed with your new fueling requirements.
And a big congrats for selling out your first batch. You are first and no doubt the best option for these trucks.

It does not. The Torque converter unlock graphs are skewed on the lower rpm. I explained some pages back in here, that with the torque converter unlock, there is a slight variation in engine speed to axle speed, so the torque numbers produced at very low rpm look higher than reality.
Reality, with locked it shows peak 350+ in low rpm

    91 octane is the minimum.

    another important thing.
The dip you see @about 3000. Originally when tuning I believed this to be the torque converter. Actually it is not. It's the intake manifold ACIS. I tried trigger points from 2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 2700 rpm, 3000 rpm. Each one produces a small dip in torque during activation regardless. The dyno picks this up but you can't really tell on the road. They probably would not be noticeable at all if I ran the dyno where it did 100 rpm per second. But that would be a ridiculously long run. The current sweet is 500/sec so it exaggerates it. Because my dyno is a hub, it is extremely sensitive to these changes.

I either got lucky or I am very unlucky to have not spotted this yesterday. Work announced possible furloughs today which means I will not be in on batch 1. Suppose its ok, I was holding out for a couple of unanswered questions anyway. 1) Solution for those with winches. 2) What its like with a MT.
